I Just Don't Get It
What is with all the "family" crap on Fubar? I thought it was bad before.. now it's just ridiculous. Can you not have a close circle of friends without feeling the need to put a label on it? What is with all the requirements to be in some of these families? Since when do you need to be up to someone else's standards to be accepted? I guess the whole concept of people liking you for you went out the window along with thinking for yourself as well. I've been part of "families" on Fubar and as you can tell I am no longer in them. I prefer to think for myself and not take direction from others. I also enjoy stating my opinion and not having to follow someone else's just to be "cool" Say what you want, and defend what you want, I've seen the truth. One last thing before I end this.. Why don't you try doing for others because you WANT to and not because you expect something in return. You might actually gain some more respect in doing so.

Letting Go Of The Pain And Torture In My Mind

So my youngest is turning 4 tomorrow. He's growing up so fast. It does feel like he's been 3 forever though, lol. A Concert I Went To Last Night
I went to go see this group Great Big Sea last night . And they were awesome . I'd recommend for anybody who reads this blog to listen to them and go see them live . They put on one hell of a show . Kids And "mixed" Families...
So, I'm wondering if any of you have experience with Mixed families - if not, maybe some of you are parents of children in "broken" homes....and that might be enough experience to help me figure out something. As most of you know (and maybe some of you don't) I am a single mom of two kids. That in an of itself comes with a host of issues and problems but that is something for another blog. I've started dating a guy that I've known for years. The relationship is pretty darn good. A realistic one if you know what I mean. Well yes, the 5th did suck, just like I was sure it would, 5 years of marriage down the drain, when I tried to go to sleep this morning I honestly was surprised by how badly it affected me. College
I realize I am late on this note but I am on the bus bored, so I thought I would wright a note. As some of you know I have gone back to college. I am on my fourth class and I am loving it so far. I am going through the University of Pheonix. I am taking it online one course at a time. The classes last five weeks. I am going for computers. I am so glad I decided to go back to school. I can concentrate on one course at a time which for me is better that way. My grades are still not the best but I am getting better. I have met some nice people since I started. Well now that I think I have said enough I am going to get off. Plus I will be home soon. I will leave you all with this. I am bound and determined to graduate college even if it takes forever to do it.

Holidays
I love the Holiday's and being with friends and family. I had a great Thanksgiving, it was mom, my grandparents, me, and a friend. It was a great time. I can not wait for Christmas, I pretty much have my shopping done. I got my girls something to they are going to love it. Today it is snowing and sticking to the ground. My brother and his wife are coming the first of the year to spend Christmas with us. This year on Christmas it will be mom, my grandparents, and me. I love Christmas and the Birth of our Lord and Savior. its just a great time of year. I am so happy to be alive for another Holiday Season!! I so, so, glad God spared my life. Another Update And The Holidays
As I sit here in bed and write this I am looking back on where I was 2 years ago and where I am now 2 years later. I am pretty much back to life, some days are still hard. I am doing a lot better these days my last surgery seems to have help in many ways. I am sleeping so much better I still have some nights I do not sleep well but I think we all have those nights. I am trying to find a part time job right now so i can get out of the house a little. I am looking forward to the holidays being with friends and family. I look back at last years holiday season it just felt weird being home, I mean it felt like I should be in the hospital or something. I remember having Christmas that year but it was weird not at all like Christmas to me. I am looking forward to this one, that is for sure. I still have to go back to my orthopedic doctor every so often. he likes to make sure his work is working if not I would make him fix it. I like him he is cool I am glad he was there that day I came in to

Another Update
I am giving you another update sorry but a lot of people prayed for me after my accident, so this is easy to just update and tell all about it. I am gunna tell the last few months have been fun. Have enjoyed being outside I am sad that Fall is here. I will tell I have met a lot of my neighbors this summer. I have put up some pictures of some of my neighbors daughter they are so cute it ain't funny!! I watch one of them all the time. She sees me and comes running. She is only 2 but she is so loving. You should here some of the things she is saying now. One is OH NO, like when she thinks she has broken something when she really has not but does not know that. She says the word HUH all the time and the word NO. Most of the time its funny. The main reason for this was to say I am doing tons better since my last hip surgery. I still go see the doctor for my hip but just for check ups. He says all is good. It really does not hurt like it used to before the surgery, it hurts like once in a wh

Update
Well I have been home now from the nursing home since last November, I seem to be doing ok now that I am at home. I have had one surgery since I have been home it seems to have worked I hope. My hip still bothers me sometimes. I think its because I keep picking up the neighbor kids. I figure why not I am outside she is outside, plus she like to sit on my lap and play with my cell phone and go for a ride on my power chair. Her parents don't seem to mind. They are outside too. I go back to the docotr for my hip next month, was suppose to be this month but I had to call an cancel. Something came up. I thought I was gunna be starting work up again this summer but I guess not( I was watching little boy before my accident). His mom is no longer the manager of the apartments where I live. She decided it was time to move on in the company. I know where she is moving to I could always go visit him. I am now receiving SSI, so that is gunna help out me and mom. I now have a laptop, so that helps.

Post-surgery
As I sit here in my electric wheelchair watching tv and reflecting on this past week. I have to say I am truely blessed to have such a great church family, family, friends, and internet friends. It means a lot to know I was thought of and prayed for. My first night in my own bed was rough but I am on good pain meds so that helps. I know I am gunna be sore for while but in the long run this surgery should help. I am not sure how many more surgeries I am gunna have to have, I guess time will tell. I am just glad I am alive to share this with you all. There was a time when people thought I might not survive this accident but I did and I am thankful I am alive. God is so great. He never gives us more than we can handle. Its amazing how we think we can't handle it but God knows we can. I have been through a lot this past year and I am just glad I am here to live to tell the tail. Yes it was trumatic but not everything in life is trumatic or easy. Surgery
For those of you that know and those who don't I am having surgery tomorrow on my right hip. The doctor is taking out the screws and fusing it together. My sacrim moves and it is not suppose to. As for those who are wondering why I am having it done. I am in a lot of pain when I lay down. Now I am facing the fact that it hurts when I am up in my electric wheel chair. I hope this surgery will help my pain. For those of you that will be praying for me tomorrow I thank you for that now. Well it has been a month since my hip surgery, I seem to be doing ok. I got my staples out the 15 of this month. I JUST ABOUT punched my doctors assistant in the nose, she was taking out my staples and one did not want to come out, it was stuck. I go back next month for a check up. He said the surgery worked, I am glad. I might have a surgery on my arm the metal in it is bothering me, it hurts to do certain things. I am not sure how many more surgeries I will have to have. Accident
As most of you know I was in a severe car accident last November. I was hit by a semi. I had alot of injuries. I had broke my left arm and leg upper and lower part of them, I broke my pelvis in 6 to 8 places, I had internal bleeding, spleen and liver laceration. I had bruised ribs, I had a massive wound on my left hip that required me to have a wound vac for 8 months. It had to be changed three times a week that was a pain cause it hurt. It was caused by a corn stalk getting stuck up my hip when I was thrown 10 feet from my car. They took skin from both my thighs to put on my left hip. It did not take in the beginning but when they did it later on in I think it was February it worked. My thighs will never tan again oh well. I am alive. I was on a ventilator, and I had a trake. Time Goes On
Two Months Later............ I still sit here alone..waiting. No word... August 30th, Glenn would have been 51. Next weekend is Pirates Day. Silly but it was a tradition to spend the day with my Child there. That is just a pipe dream now. September 20th is the year anniversary of Aunt Fran's passing. not really an angle just a nice lady named Diana - my wife arranged to get a loan so we casn get th breaks fixed on our old car and some food - she walked 4 blocks to the bus stop in 100 degree heat and waited. Just then a stranger named Diana stopped and asked her if she needed a ride - this lady has a personal mission about helping old people. She took her to the loan place - to the store and back to our house. She gave my wife her phone number in case she needs another ride sometime. today, I was finally able to have my bike's transmission fixed (She had a nasty problem with false neutrals), so after she was fixed (and after the guys at the shop filled up her 4.6 gallon tank, to which I'm grateful to them for that :)) I set a course for highway 101 and off to the coast..it was rainy as hell, and for want of proper rain gear, I was soaked. but the view was beautiful-- the mouth of the columbia river joins the Pac Ocean...and the view of both the Oregon and Washington coasts from Highway 101 is simply to die for-0- the blue grey waters of the pacific are a sharp contrast to the grey waters of the columbia river, but the small glimmers of sunshine breaking through the september storm clouds serve not only as a peaen to beautiful scenery, but also a reminder that behind every fucked up week, there's SUNSHINE! I Went On A Date
I had been speaking to a lady where I do my banking every couple of weeks. We generally spent a little too long talking for the patrons behind me to put up with , so after a few weeks I asked her to go out for a couple of drinks. It has come to my attention today that there are some who do not want to be owned by anyone outside the family anymore, which is naturally your right!! It is also very understandable, given what has been going on lately. When one of our own is attacked we pull closer together and trust outsiders less... so when two are attacked..it is even more so! The answer to this is very simple. If you do not want someone outside the family to own you, go into your settings under your profile...the security section.. and there is an option to say who can own you. The options are: anyone; friends; family; no one. If you select "family" it will greatly limit who can buy you...for most it will mean around 10, if I recall right. But if you select "friends" then all of us in the BAND OF GOLD can still own you...IF that is what you want. This will be the best method for making sure your wishes are kept regarding who owns you. The film also investigates why America went from a country which produced vast quantities of the non-narcotic industrial hemp, to the complete ban on hemp production in 1938. This story in particular is interesting, and it points out that the large oilbased industries actually had a key role in the aforementioned ban. Food for thought! I am very happy. I am glad to be where I am, doing what I am doing, but that being said, I have a few observations. I look like hell. No really. I am sunburned so many times and places, that my skin can’t figure out whether to peel or just hang on for dear life. I also don’t tan, but rather bleach and get whiter with the sun that I get. This astounds my colleagues with darker skin. They often comment on how amazing this is and that I am not really a white person, but something altogether alien. Heart Appointment Friday,september 4th 2009
As for everyone knew I went for a TEE test today. For results I am having Heart Surgery but Gainsville,FL Hospital where I went to since I was 13 is in trouble my condition of the murmur has worsen an they were supposed to take care of it an they did not. I can't wait to be a adult for sure after this surgery on my heart murmur I will be so much better and not as sick much either. I am glad to have heard this today when I was in the Recovery room even though I woke up soon as I got in the room which surprised everyone that I woke up as soon as I did in their. The nurses and doctors were awesome I had mostly woman an one of them was name Amber too as well had one name Opal they were the sweetest I am glad to have gone today. As some of you know, today was court day... again.. and that today was special. Today I had a sudden support court day AND custody court day. Same woman, same place. I Got My License
Finally i got my license. I wanted to get my license before my mom got home and was able to do it today. Unfortunately my friend was not able to go with me but i got my neighbor to go with me. I brought my permit down expecting to have to take a written test and i found out i had already took the test. So i went out and did a driving test and the lady said it was the first time she had ever given the driving test to anyone with hand controls. That was unofficial/informal or forged of authenticity, aside from possible spelling & grammar deviations and/or errors. I have been thinking, since I have been in this place. And I cant say I like much of what is going on with people . Bad attitudes, judgemental, immaturity, ignorance, rude, mean, no morals.
