Ford's blog: "Understanding Me"

As some of you know, today was court day... again.. and that today was special. Today I had a sudden support court day AND custody court day. Same woman, same place. Luckily, when I arrived, they had blended to two sessions together as one....

BUT... no ex was there.. again...

This would be the third time she didn't show or call. So what did the court do? They did cancel any further proceedings involving custody but adjourned the support for a later date...What.. the.. hell? This is the second of the support court dates she's missed..

Now, here's the good stuff.. The paperwork I had gotten, for court, had this within it's words.. My ex claimed she was living off of her boyfriend's unemployment check....and she "couldn't find work".. Part of why we were in court today, they want to toss her in jail. Supposedly, anyway (why extend it then?).. Now, for the past several months, her and her man have been working at a carnival.. it's been her excuse for not seeing the kids, and a number of other things.. She had lied to the court, and it's on paper what was said..

Secondly, when asked by the judge (to her lawyer, the ex wasn't there) where she was, the lawyer said she did not know, but last she heard, the car had a bad transmission.. This is true, however, the transmission was replaced 3 weeks ago, and the front piece finished the job August 24th. The same day she signed over custody of her eldest daughter to her parents. ..

*Big Ol' Facepalm Here*

Anyhoo, I was quite pissed, to say the least and stayed that way for several hours after retunring to my homestead. Then, my own mother contacted me via MSN Messenger...

She was quite upset, and had driven to my ex's place in another town. She was home. Not in PA working like I had thought. Her man was walking down the road, probably pissed off. My ex was outside in her pajamas.. It's after noon, BTW...

Now, Mom takes stuff personally, so naturally, she was pissed. She decided to drive to my ex's parents' home and have a "chat".. She had found that my ex wanted her eldest daughter on Sundays and Mondays and not the weekends. Partly for her "free time," but mostly for money. See, in this county, she can get welfare IF she has a child living there during a weekday, not a weekend...None of that makes sense because the kid is in school, in a different town, than the ex.. Monday is a schoolday, last time I looked.. She would not back down from those days, and her parents wouldn't back down from Saturday and Sundays.. The ex gave in and gave up, signed over her daughter, then actually disowned her and the grandmother..

They also suspect my ex is being investigated for welfare fraud in the county as well. My ex WAS getting welfare and claiming that the daughter was living there, when in reality, she was still living with the grandparents, due to schooling in another town....

Most of this proved my ex is out for the money, and only the money. The ex's mother's heart is all broke up and stuffs.. Finally, her eyes are opened to her daughter's B.S. 

They both had agreed to back me up in court, told me to go for custody of my two children. 

Also, I'm pretty sure my ex isn't going to come get the kids this weekend either, again...There's doing better than the last time this stuff happened, but what do you tell them when it seems like it's all coming out and possibly coming to it's final end?
