Not Original... But True!!
TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the 1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's!! First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant. I took the time to write about each thing and it helped me see the amazing cohesion I managed to pull off. Today I added images to my writing to help you visualize the final product and how it all came together. Here's a few things to look for when reviewing the images...First - the congruency of colors. We managed to bring the pallet all the way across the house in one way or another with minimal break in the transition while maintaining the individuality of each space. The use of the red and blue trim made this not only a treat to the eye but also gave me what I needed to mix for the perfect trim in the bedroom.Second - the way I not only managed to work each rooms color schemes around their high lighted quilts, but also in relation to theme and vibe. So Sunday night I got conned into watching this show on Discovery called Whale Wars. Its about this man, Paul, who got a crew together and put money up for a ship. They troll the Arctic ocean searching for Japanese harpooning ships that are illegally killing whales but they say the whales are for research. This show made me sick. I've had one of those days that turned into a week that stretched into a month. You know the day....where you wake up and stub your toe walking to the coffee pot, which you thought you just forgot to set on auto, but really quit working. Which sucks because you only bought it last week, then you open the cabinet to get out the instant (used only in dire emergencies & this qualifies) only to find it has been there so long it is one huge piece that has fused together with no hope of chipping enough away to make a cup of java. Personal Burr Oak Update
I happened to drive past Burr Oak last night while I was running some errands. Needless to say, it's still off limits to the public. There were sherriff undercover cars blocking off the entrance, although one of the gates was open. One of the investigated sections is still blocked off from view. I do believe this is the second site. The other is at the back of the cemetery. There is a neighborhood street that runs along side it, but there is quite a bit of overgrowth and trees, so in a sense I could see how you might have missed it unless you were above the fence. (Hence the ComEd guys making their report.) This section is more toward the main street, the other side an on ramp for 294. There is some brush there as well. I don't quite see how this section would have been missed since quite a bit of it is viewable, but then again, I guess when you drive past a cemetery, you're not expecting to see a pile of bones and vaults. I hung out most of the day with my parents. We went to Target to pick up some photos that dad had when they went to the Phillpines earlier this year. He also made some photo cards for mom's birthday. So I went back to the Eye Dr today. It wasn't good news. He thought the drops he gave me last week would help. I think they did help my left eye, since I can still see to type lol. That took from April 2008 to may 2009 I finally got released from the doctor on that.. just to go to work and get a severe sinus infection and had to go to doctor to get antibiotics for it.. and after that was over 2 wks later came down with inner ear infection,, and got antibiotics for that.. after that I was doing good for 3 wks and came down with a kidney infection in which I have had since June 28th.. lol after 5 rounds of diffferent antibiotics and no success I had to sleep on sofa so I could sleep sitting up because that is the most comfortable way for me to sleep so I had not slept with my husband for 3 wks on the 13th of July.. I hate when people talk about committing suicide. Other than the obvious reason that I don't want someone that I care about to die it irks me to hear that they have nothing to live for.
