Drowning
Everything that can go wrong, has! I am not as strong as I used to be, I am going down fast..... I am drowning, sinking into the darkness, consumed by life's little tragedies.......I can't catch my breath, OH GOD I can't swim.......What do I do? There is no one around for help....Where has everyone run off to? Why did they leave me alone? I need a life saver... but where? As days go by I look at the present. I wonder who I am. Who I have become, who I will be? Why I am the way that I am? Will I ever change? Will I get better? As days go by I think about the past. Friends that have come and gone, relationships that have ended. Mistakes that have been made. Places I have been, things I have done and seen. As days go by I worry about the future. Is there more to life than this? Is there something out there I am meant to do, someone I am meant to be? Cause this just ain't working for me. Losing It

HONEYCOMB CANDY 1 c. dark corn syrup 1 c. sugar1 tbsp. vinegar 1 tbsp. baking soda Cook first 3 ingredients to 300 degrees. Add soda. Pour into a buttered 9 x 9 inch dish. Do not spread. Let cool. Cind Tacoma, WA November 1, 2008 @ 4:10 pm This one is my favorite!!!! it is sooooo good! and EASTY!!!! and totally unreal in the items you make it with.. but try it. You will love it! SALTINE DELIGHTS 2 sticks butter 1 c. sugar 1 lg. pkg. Nestle's morsels 1 c. chopped nuts 1 section unsalted saltines Heat oven to 350 degrees. Melt sugar and butter. Bring to a boil for 3 minutes. Spread out the saltines on a cookie sheet. (Cookie sheet should have aluminum foil and butter on it.) Take the sugar and butter and spread it on the saltines. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove cookie sheet and pour the chocolate bits over the top. Heat will melt the chocolate. Put nuts on top. Let cool. Put in refrigerator, then just break up when ready to serve. C

Isnt She Lovely?
I'm sure some of U have noticed I've been MIA for a week. My daughter started labor last week, but it wasnt progressing. Her Doc here in my small town is running for state senate, so my family wasnt at the top of his list. I tried so hard to keep her strong. Its been the most heart wrenching week I've ever had in my life. There's nothing worse in this world than watching ur baby go thru pain and noone will help her. Finally after a week of labor, she dialated. Thank God. Soooo, she was admitted for the 3rd and final time. The "wonderful" Doc came in, gave her an epidural and left. There she laid, dialated to 10 for 5 hrs, while he went home and slept. She of course felt no pain, so it was ok with everyone but me. Finally, he came back and broke her water and told her she could start pushing with contractions whenever she liked. I was like OMG! He went to the room next to hers and slept. Soooo, her labor nurse tells me we'll be doing the work. We were to watch the monitor for the TOCO n

"The 12 Days of Christmas" was originally published as a Christmas Carol in 1780. But some say its origins go all the way back to the 16th century when Catholicism was banned in England and Ireland. My Life
I see my life as a big charter bus. It looks great from the outside big and black and shiny with a great colorful design on the side. It is just beautiful. At least from a distance. Going to bed last night I thought of, or realized, something. Anything I have done or anything I have I've done with my own 2 hands. I don't count on others to buy me things or give me things. Burning inside us all are the following things, The love of a mother, the hate of a genius, the thirst for power of a dictator, but only when we act on these are shunned by our peers, and only when we act on them they become a reality. I remain emotionless, cold as the caves that bore me, but not because i choose so, but because nature chose it for me, talk about it with friends why, when, how, it all sounds like mumbling from now to eternity. Each word losses value as they spew from the mouths of the very men that bore them. I've felt everything you have established for me to feel, and i label them all as fake, a figment of a child's mind, a dream of the men i envy, A black hole that gets a little stronger everyday.

For those interested, I've been going through bouts of being on Fu a lot and then not being on so much, just showing as being online. My Stroke
Today is the 10th day since I had a stroke and the 5th day since I knew it. I never knew what signs to really look for, always thought that if it happened I would either know it or I would be dead. Now that I think back, I know what the first sign with my stroke was, it was not seeing 'right , I told a friend that I wasn't seeing right and was gonna go lay down. My vision was blurry and I could barely read anything. That only happened for about two days and stopped. Then I felt fine. A few days later I started feeling like I was ill , started craving soup everyday, was weird. And then all of a sudden, one morning , I got up, was feeling fine and did my usual coffee & get online thing. And I noticed right away that my fingers and brain weren't connecting things right. I was making tons of typo's , I thought it was just me not being awake yet though. This went on for three days. I told my ex that something isn't firing right in my brain. He didn't understand what I meant.

Grandmother's Passing..
Monday 27th of Oct, my Grandmother passed away. It was rather quick. Was only told about it on the Sunday morning, 9 am off my Dad. There was time to go there to the hospital, and briefly see her. Thursday 30th of Oct; was the day of her funeral. Mostly a crying blurr, if I'm honest with myself. I'm sure some out there must go through the same deal. Of at those sad family events, of finding other family member's you've not seen in ages; who only talk to select members. I'm not sure what I was expecting. But to be at something, and feel as though to anyone but a select handful (mostly my step-mother, dad, and step-sisters and step-brother.); that it wouldn't have mattered had I gone. It's sad when something to wish someone goodbye, has them drift off into the same clique's you see them do at Christmas, and any other time you get together. As it was at the actual funeral, it was one of my Step-sister's whom came up to give me a hug. The few family members near me, to hear my

Even though I have had a great loss in my life recently that has taken me so much strength to overcome, I am plowing forward into new journeys and dreams that are sure to come true. "With every daeth, becomes a life"...How true is this! I am so hopeful about my future. I am feeling stronger than I have been allowed to feel in such a very long time. Thank you God for the Gifts that are given and the prayers that are answered. I do Realize that it is only human nature to be impatient in this life and to thrive for understanding of all circumstances; but learning these life lessons can only be from flesh and bone.

Old Fashioned Onion Rings
INGREDIENTS * 1 large onion, cut into 1/4 inch slices * 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour * 1 teaspoon baking powder * 1 teaspoon salt * 1 egg * 1 cup milk, or as needed * 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs * seasoned salt to taste * 1 quart oil for frying, or as needed DIRECTIONS 1. Heat the oil in a deep-fryer to 365 degrees F (185 degrees C). 2. Separate the onion slices into rings, and set aside. In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt. 3. Dip the onion slices into the flour mixture until they are all coated; set aside. Whisk the egg and milk into the flour mixture using a fork. INGREDIENTS * 6 cups chicken broth, divided * 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided * 1 pound portobello mushrooms, thinly sliced * 1 pound white mushrooms, thinly sliced * 2 shallots, diced * 1 1/2 cups Arborio rice * 1/2 cup dry white wine * sea salt to taste * freshly ground black pepper to taste * 3 tablespoons finely chopped chives * 4 tablespoons butter * 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese DIRECTIONS 1. In a saucepan, warm the broth over low heat. 2. Warm 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in the mushrooms, and cook until soft, about 3 minutes. INGREDIENTS * 5 sweet potatoes * 1/4 teaspoon salt * 1/4 cup butter * 2 eggs * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract * 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon * 1/2 cup white sugar * 2 tablespoons heavy cream * 1/4 cup butter, softened * 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour * 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar * 1/2 cup chopped pecans DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. 2. Bake sweet potatoes 35 minutes in the preheated oven, or until they begin to soften. Cool slightly, peel, and mash. 3. In a large bowl, mix the mashed sweet potatoes, salt, 1/4 cup butter, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, sugar, and heavy cream. In the fifth installment of the "Saw" franchise, Hoffman is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw legacy. Sleep Depravation.
Ever have one of those little stretches where You can't sleep? Not because of drugs, but because of Insonia? I am mired in the midst of a 3 1/2 week long bout with it. I am averaging about 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hrs of sleep a night. Everything is getting "Fuzzy". INGREDIENTS * 1 egg white * 1 tablespoon water * 1 pound pecan halves * 1 cup white sugar * 3/4 teaspoon salt * 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Grease one baking sheet. 2. In a mixing bowl, whip together the egg white and water until frothy. In a separate bowl, mix together sugar, salt, and cinnamon. 3. Add pecans to egg whites, stir to coat the nuts evenly. Remove the nuts, and toss them in the sugar mixture until coated. Spread the nuts out on the prepared baking sheet. 4. Bake at 250 degrees F (120 degrees C) for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes.

INGREDIENTS * 2 kiwis, peeled and diced * 2 Golden Delicious apples - peeled, cored and diced * 8 ounces raspberries * 1 pound strawberries * 2 tablespoons white sugar * 1 tablespoon brown sugar * 3 tablespoons fruit preserves, any flavor * * 10 (10 inch) flour tortillas * butter flavored cooking spray * 2 cups cinnamon sugar DIRECTIONS 1. In a large bowl, thoroughly mix kiwis, Golden Delicious apples, raspberries, strawberries, white sugar, brown sugar and fruit preserves. Cover and chill in the refrigerator at least 15 minutes. 2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 3. Coat one side of each flour tortilla with butter flavored cooking spray. Cut into wedges and arrange in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Home From Iraq
Well everyone I have finally made it home from a long deployment in Iraq, I have been home for about a month now and trying to readjust to being back in the states. October. An Update. Why Does Everyone Flap When My Surgeon Is Not Worried.

A July Update.
From July 2008 At present it seems that after an increase of medication things have evened out again. So, I am now on 250 mg AM and 250 mg PM - Lamactil. This was following a blip after seeing the Neurologist on June 17. I did start to have a hypo but stopped it by having something to eat. My hands were shaking as I tried to open the snack bar just like they did the last time I had one that I managed to stop. There is a difference between the beginnings of a seizure and the beginning of a hypo. It is a visual thing mostly because everything looks blue just before a hypo and I feel unreal or sick or like I want to faint. My Story Chapter One I was told by my teacher to go to the front of the classroom and face the board and then she blindfolded me. She said that she was going to have all of the kids in the class come in one by one and put a checkmark on the board if they liked me and an X if they didn’t. She said I was part of her experiment and that everyone in the class would have to do it even thought I was the only one who ever did. I stood there and one by one I herd them all come in and put a mark on the board, but not one of them said one word to me, until him.
