Monotony As A Form Of Escape.
Bored, apathetic, and borderline listless, I start my days. The only brightness in an otherwise drab gray day is my wife, but when she is away its like sitting at a symphony that playing one tune in a constant tone, Flatline. mildly irratating? yes. However the pain rates as a mild windburn, hovering just slightly beyond my notice. This is my sanctuary, the sanctum of mediocrity, my fortress of banality. I enjoy it. Why? Life is Drama and Energy, like all vices you CAN have too much of it. Passion drains, so this is my solace, my reprieve. Yeah I know this is wierd, but its security for my sanity at any rate.

Dvd Cases
This morning... besides listening to BLINK audio CDS, writing an occasional blog on CT, etc. I have also been taking my DVDs out of the cases and putting them into CD sleeves. Then taking the cover sleeves out of the case, I would fold it up like an envelope and insert the sleeved DVD in its cover sleeve. I have then put them into a plastic shoebox. It may not be the BEST solution to space issues; however, it is reducing dramatically the need for sooooo much shelf space for my DVDs. QUESTION -- What do I do with the plastic DVD cases? I hate to throw them away. You would think that SOMEONE would need them to recycle in some form or fashion. Do you have any idea of who I can give these to in order that they might be recycled???? Just curious....

I am told that I should be able to better deal with this by now. After all yesterday did mark the 11th year of my sisters death. But how can one say that as so mater of fact. I mean yes, it is true June 8, 2006 is the 11th anniversary of my sister being killed, but it still hurts like it was yesterday and not yesterday 11 years ago. She was so much, to so many. Yes she was 17, never to see her 18th birthday which would have been November 22. She was amazing, a young mother, her son was 6 months and 2 days old when she was killed. Saban Takes Alabama Job
Wow crazy things so far this early in 2007 if you're a sports fan. Boise State beats Oklahoma and now Nick Saban decides to leave the safe confines of the NFL to go back to college coaching. Let's start with the positives for Saban going to Alabama. Big payday and an 8 year contract means he can put his hand prints all over this program for years to come. Supposedly he missed teaching the "kids" too. He gets complete control of a program again. Negatives, this move shows that Saban doesn't care about putting down roots anywhere. 'Bama fans contract or no contract you better be prepared if in 4 or 5 years if he doesn't have the program going he might bolt. I Quit!!!
I have smoked for the past ten years. I've never tried to quit. I absolutely love smoking cigarrettes. I never fully understood my addiction until I did quit Jan. 1st. I mean, I knew it would be hard, but didn't realize it'd be this hard!!! My body is going absolutely insane! I can't breathe...I feel like I've smoked a pack of cigarrettes in 20 minutes! My chest is killing me! I have anxiety attacks. Right now, sitting at this computer I feel like I'm missing something or have forgotten to do something very important...oh yea....I would have been smoking right now! Can't do that! It's getting better..this is my third day..it's definitely making me realize I NEVER want to go through this again!!! Quit Cold Turkey! It helps!

Jobs Suck Ass In Florida!
Ok Jobs suck ass! Get this, my Grandmother passed away the day before thanksgiving and my mom flew up to clean out the house and stuff. Then she drove back, and things were cool for a while, then while I was down there for Christmas, we got a call on Christmas day that my great grandmother had passed away. So we flew back up on the 27th my birthday and went to the viewing and stuff. So my mom flew back down on New Years eve and today she tells me that her job let her go... man it wasn't her fault that our family died back to back like that. So now it's really hard and frustrating for her because despite this shit, she was happy in her new job. It is amazing what, when you don't feel all that small normally, what some chains on some ceiling fans which are too short for one to reach can make one seem so much smaller than normal. Having A Bad Day...
I'm just having a bad day I tell ya. My morning went as usual until on my way to work. I was stopped at a red light and I would have bet my life and a million bucks that the car in front of me had gone. But come to find out they hadn't. I rear ended them bigger than Dallas. We both got out and surveyed the damage, which wasn't too bad considering the situation. I was like do you want me to call 911. She said well I guess we should. In the meantime, I got back in the car to get my license and insurance info. closing the door on the way out. OMFG ..my door was locked keys still in the ignition with the car running. Did you know a toilet can create enough force to flush a tennis ball? My sons hockey team found this out last season. While in the locker room, after practice, they (and not all the boys were involved and to this day, I am not 100% certain that my son did nothing) totally destroyed the locker room. Getting Even In Small Mid-west Town!!!(a Good One)
We live in a small town in the mid-west. One hot July day we found an old straggly cat at our door. She was a sorry sight. Starving, dirty, smelled terrible, skinny and hair all matted down. We felt sorry for her, put her in a carrier and took her to the Vet. We didn't know what to call her, so we named her "Pussycat." The Vet decided to keep her for a day or so. The biggest problem I have with self-proclaimed prophets (i.e. Pat Robertson) is that they claim to speak for God but consistently give bad predictions. After a much deserved vacation I returned to work yesterday. I knew it was going to be rough, but I hadn't expected to hear what I did when I went in. He tells me that I missed the excitement the previous day (New Year's Day.) and goes on to tell me about the day. Same Shit Different Year
So its 2007 and nothing in my life has changed. The lounge was even more congested than the bar had been. For starters it was the only place in the ballroom where smoking was allowed and secondly it offered the most comfortable seating. Dark leather couches with high backs and high arms were set on rugs, each facing two deep and heavily cushioned arm chairs. Every couch and chair was filled. Even the spaces between the couches and chairs were filled by people talking in small groups. Cat wondered amusingly if Sir expected them to sit on the floor and fuck. He wound his way through the crowd with Cat in tow, finally approaching a beautiful woman sitting in one of the chairs in the middle of the lounge area. The woman's eyes flashed recognition at Sir when they were a few feet from her. With only a quick nod of Sir's head the woman rose and disappeared into the crowd. Whats Going On With Steven
Ok so I retract my previous blog about Steven which was on myspace. He is not an abusive man and I only post blogs when I'm pissed at something or him or bored so sorry to anyone i've misled or made them think less of him... he is a great man and has always been there for me and always will be.
