ALTOONA, Iowa -- Loretta I. Worley, 81, of Altoona passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, Iowa. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home. Loretta will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and as a woman who was dedicated to her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Terry Schmidt and Sherry (Ken) Searls, both of Sioux City, Ronald Worley, Loretta Parker, Bernard Worley Jr. and Tina (Otis) Brookins; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; and siblings, Helen Eberly, Lyle Rasmussen and Jeanice Singer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

So its Sunday tomorrow Tristen goes back to school. Alexzander & Kieyah go back to daycare. As for me starting school. I have decided to go back to school to finish my high school. Ill Grandmother

Distressed...am I Wrong To Feel Like This?
I got a phone call from a friend of mine earlier this morning that has left me feeling very uneasy! A friend of mine, who I will call Aimee, told me that she was getting back together with her ex. This news I found very distressing and disturbing because Aimee's ex was very abusive to her for the year and a half that they were together according to what Aimee has told me. This is also not the first time she has gone back to him, but the last time she left him was because he punched her in the eye so bad that she is blind in that eye. Cleaning
Its a day for cleaning, sorting out and making ready. My mind feels unsettled and certain things are uncertain for me and I am concerned and agitated. The New Year
Everyone makes resolutions every New Years. I am guilty of this aswell. But as most people start new diets, new exercise routines, or even working on a relationship, I won't be doing any of that. For what I'm looking for is beyond that, something way harder to achieve. Happiness is what I'm looking for in 2009. I thought I had found it a few times in 2008 only to be let down and miserable. The best thing I can say is that I did find more of myself in 2008, even if it did break my heart. Let's see....I started the new year off with a heckuva good time. I spent it at Wild Country, and had a GREAT time. It's amazing how nothing more than hanging out with your friends, doing a bit of drinking, and good music can start the year off right. I have decided, that I only have a couple of goals for the year, not that I need anymore or anything like that. #1. Be a better friend. I have some awesome friends, in real life and online. 01/04/09: A New Year; Hope And Uncertainty
Thus ends 2008, and so begins 2009. From a professional standpoint, this year is not looking so good. My job duties are going to change in February, and I am not liking that at all. Holy Shit!
Last week I had a checkup (way over due) everything was good when I left then today received a letter from my physician. They had to have my EKG read and it appears that I have had a mild heart attack sometime in the last year and have now doubled my heart medication. EKG showed sinus tachycardia, left atrial enlargement, septal infarct and beating too fast. Well just a bit over a week I start school other than that not much going on.

So I don't know if people actually read these on here, but I need a place to vent or open up and not have to worry about my family reading it, which they do on my space. I have found that I try to be a lot more independent than I think I truly am. I need to be told that I matter and needed more often than I act like. Stuff I Need (or, Why My Computer's Pissing Me Off)...
So, I just basically spent more money on computer stuff than I have in a long time, and than I probably should in the first place. And I didn't even spend that much! Bought a new Seagate 1TB SATA drive to replace the 250GB PATA drive that was giving me issues (allegedly--it had bad blocks)... Bought a new CoolerMaster CM690 case (not bad for $80, highly recommend it, loads of cool stuff!) so that my drives won't get to 55C (that's 131F, fuck!), and bought another fan to help with cooling (four case fans in all right now). However, I'm still not seeing it run as fast as it should... I know I need to replace this shitty little 430watt Raidmax PSU with something better soon, but I doubt that's a major issue. No, I think that right now is the memory... I've got four sticks of RAM in there right now, two are 512MB sticks at PC2700 speeds... There's a 512MB PC3200, and a 256MB PC2700 or something... And I'm pretty sure that at least one of those sticks are slightly bad... S

Family Issues!
I just wanted to let all my Fu-Friends know that I might not be on much for awhile. I am trying to deal with a stubborn ex that feels its ok for him to move on but not me. I show that I have moved on and he decides to punish me by not bringing our daughter back to me after Christmas vacation. Yes I have primary physical custody but because we live in different states its seems like my hands are tied! Great system that we have here isn't it! I don't have a car and don't have the money to make a trip down to NC where he lives to retrieve my daughter so my only recourse is to sit here biting my nails down and wait for the courts to "help" So Its not that I am being stuck up and not returning love but I am totally stressed and an emotional wreck right now. Real Life Resolutions
The other blog was our fubar resolution...these are my real life resolutions::: 1) find a job that I like that I can advance in and keep...(done...start Monday) 2) start working out and taking better care of myself...(taking the kids to the Y every weekend) 3) start spending more time with family and kids...(game night every Thursday and the Y on weekends) 4) cut back on smoking (new job will help with that since you can't smoke near the building) 5) pay off bills, save for next Christmas, repair house and start buying things we want...(new job will make this possible) 6) better relationship with Todd...(this is already happening but I am going to try harder)

*sigh* i am an odd duck. i'm sure you all agree by now, but what makes it all even worse is that i'm both gluten and lactose intolerant. Gluten is a protein found in wheat. Lactose found in dairy. Banana Muffins 1 ¼ cups mashed ripe bananas (3 medium) 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 large egg 1/3 cup sugar 2 cups bisquick baking mix Heat oven to 400. Friday Hurts
about 6:30 Last night, Friday. me-crying like a little bitch my car, crumpled and maimed because some bitch didnt pay attention to the road and either ran a red light or she was too busy with her phone or tv, or blackberry, or gps, or talking to her passengers....so she hit my 87 no frills 5th Ave. with such force that she destroyed it. There Are So Many...
So many people asked how my husband is doing I am going to make sure that everyone knows here. He is doing great. His speech is progressing nicely his balance is getting better in fact he went for walk yesterday and walked nearly a mile. I bet he will beat that record today and walk a bit further. He goes back to speech therapy next week after two weeks while his speech therapist went on a two week vacation on some wild island getaway somewhere while we froze up here in the Pacific northwest. It was 39 days ago that he had his brain stem stroke and we are very lucky that he is even alive.

Isnt Easy Getting Devorced
no matter how long uve been married & then separated devorce is hard i have been away from my husband for well over 8 years & finally paying way to much finacaly & emotionally for something he is sitting back & not even helping me on. New Year New Begining

Bad Car-ma

The Year Of 2009
Well it has to be better than '08! First off I just want to say that by August 1st I will be in a new apartment with my new roomie cuz I'm kickin' the old one to the curb. Those of you who know me, know that I'm completely fed up with my current living status. I could go on with millions of examples of why it's not working anymore, but it will just get me upset. My job is sub-par but that seems to be the norm for anyone these days. The economy is so bad that I can't look for a new job because where I am now is safe. We have a union therefor they can't fire me or compromise my job with a layoff or pay cut. But it's sucking my soul out...I have to eventually get out or I'll never leave. Next would be a car - I need one so that will eventually be in the works once I get settled into the new apartment. So hopefully 2009 will be great!

Imaging, Re-imaging, Migrating, And Backing Up Data.
It's been a while, but I thought I would cover a VERY important topic in the IT world: backing up data. I'm not great at doing this with non-critical data myself, but if things mean anything to you, keep backups. When hosting with a web provider, ALWAYS make sure you have a local backup copy of your site files and any databases. I would recommend having a backup schedule. For e-commerce sites, do yourself a favor and back things up nightly. One weekly full backup and incrementals there after would suffice. You can even do one twice daily if you get enough business. Why would I cover backing data up? I was just leading in to one of the main points, imaging and re-imaging machines. What is "imaging?"
