The past month has been like a rollercoaster; up down and all around... after momma had gotten worse last month, the hospice nurse saud that her brain swelling was the cause of her slurred speech inability to walk, and confusion, momma agreed to start her steroids again which has helped her so much. She still has some confusion but is able to walk and speak better. She had stopped driving at my brothers request, but wednesday decided to start again..I spoke to her hospice nurse yesterday and hopefully they will take her keys once and for all. im having the hardest time sleeping. i try to go to bed at a decent time but i keep tossing and turning. laying awake all night in my bed. ive tried taking a hot bath, non-caffinated tea, reading a book, yoga, even medicaiton. i have nothing in my room that could keep me away. i turn off all the light and im in complete darkness. the only light thats in my room is my alarm clock. i even have a blanket covering my window. nothing seems to work. ill go for days without sleep. but when i do finally sleep it will be for hours. not like 8 hours. it will be for like 12-15 hours when i do sleep. but when i wake up i dont feel rested. like i need more sleep. i think maybe its because ive slept too long. idk what to do any more. i need some help. I Think I Saw Bigfoot
Okay, so that's only partially true. I saw something I'm just not sure what exactly that something was. Let me set it up for you... I was riding through a wildlife preserve, nothing special just riding down the trails to get to a friends house and see the sights cause I was visiting and never seen that area. It's Been A While

ok people, this is not rocket science, youll be seeing default pics getting marked nsfw. Fubar admins do this once in a blue moon, they get sick of the slutty pics on every other default picture scrolling across the top. The policy has been in place over 4 years, this is nothing new or unexpected. What happens is this policy merely gets enforced to what it should be. Day 9 - The Avengers
Today's film was the Avengers and it's of course the first time I've watched it. Right off the bat let me tell you I'm am disappointed with almost every aspect of this film. It is just another action/superhero film. The film relies too much on the "cool" "epic" idea of the Avengers and doesn't bring anything special to the genre of the superhero film. It just makes the action bigger and the cgi greater. There is no in depth character, no real story, no twists, no turns, nothing but action. I know I'm being a little harsh because you not going to the Avengers looking for characters, I guess you leave that to Nolan and the Dark Knight. Let me start out with what I liked. Helping The Helpless
So once again, find myself trying to help someone who doesn't really want to help herself. She came to us asking for help, and clearly she needs help, but she also clearly (hindsight) doesn't want help. She wanted me (us) to do things her way. NOT gonna happen. The ugly side is that she just might end up DOA of an overdose on the streets real soon, and as calous as it sounds, that's sometimes the price we pay for stubborn pride and egocentricity. Day 8 - Cube
Today's film was Cube. This is my first time watching it. This is a 1997 film about 6 people stuck in a giant cube shaped puzzle. In some rooms are deadlh traps and others are safe. It's basically Saw before Saw and less violent and more thinking. This film has a great concept but doesn't hold up by todays standard. The plot works. The puzzle is fun to solve and it was great when they got another clue because then I was thinking along with them. With the whole film taking place in the puzzle, it made you feel like they felt. No flashbacks or any visual backstory makes this claustrophobic. With these twists and turns the pace never slows down and that made this film fun to watch. With no big name actors is where the film struggles. The acting is terrible. Terrible. The lead guy seems like is in a school play. I finally got to see The Hunger Games today. Having read all of the books I had my reservations about some of the casting and the fact that it was PG13. The books were rather violent and disturbing, and a bit much for young kids. Hell, some of it was hard for me to read at times. I was surprised to see kids in the theater that couldn't have been more than 9 or 10. Well, the movie itself was very good. There are always things you want in a movie that were in the book. My grandmother will be 96 on 9/11 of this year, but she will not be here to celebrate this birthday. For the past 32 years I have been able to pick up the phone and call. Get any kind of advice that i needed. Soon that will be gone. My emotions are raw, my eyes hurt from crying and I struggle with understanding so much in life. See, my grandmother fell on Tuesday. After the fall she complained of her stomach hurting very badly. A CT Scan was done to figure out what was the cause of the pain. We are told that she has cancer. Not just in one place but all over. The one woman that has been healthy, always on the go, is now sick with no symptoms to show. Yesterday Hospice came in and evaluated her. Took her to their facility to get pain management under control. All we can do now is keep her comfortable. War On Chickens!
As part of my diet strategy, I am switching to more high protein choices rather than the typical carbohydrate laden goods. This got me to thinking, I am basically declaring a war on chickens. I havent blogged in a while so it was my hope that if I sat here and started typing something then information would pour out. I dont think its going to happen. Work is work. I could complain about my boss, but even I dont want to hear it. I'm on a dating sabbatical for a bit. Still have a a month of EMT class left, then June is studying and taking the practicals and written exam. The working out is going well, I think I am more than ready for the marathon. Planning a road trip in two weeks, I say planning but I already have everything booked. May meet a few fu's if the scheduling permits. When you have so much happen in a year, when just regular is all that is going on it seems like life is moving at slow motion.

Today’s film was 9. This is the first and only time I will watch this film. After watching the trailer a couple years a go with Coheed in the background I was very hopeful of a great film but this film did not meet my expectations. This film is not good. It suffers from so many clichés and doesn’t come to any conclusion. This clichés bothered the film, and me throughout at least the story and characters, felt old and unoriginal. It’s sad because the visuals are beautiful. The art direction is great. I loved how the puppets and monsters looked. Even the one that looked like the spider baby from the original Toy Story looked great. I have been listening to a new CD. Ray Wylie Hubbard's latest is a classic, called The Grifter's Hymnal. Today's movie was Triangle. This is the first time I've seen this and I have to watch it again. This is a very interesting movie that deals with afterlife and punishment. And so far...i have made life very mundane for myself and it is time for me to break out of that before i go crazy. When we were children we used to be so carefree and wreckless. Day 3 - The Departed
Today's film was The Departed. This is my 20+ time seeing this movie. What can I say? It's great. I love Scorsese, he is so good. This is going to be short because I'm pretty sure everybody has seen it. Scorsese knows how to move a camera. Every shot is great to look at. The acting is great and the story is interesting. This is way better than Infernal Affairs, this being the remake of that. I guess that's it. If you've seen it, you like it, if you haven't go watch it. Score 5/5 *This one was short. Perfect remedy for a cold, wet, dreary evening: A hot, hot, hot shower with a ratio of about 10:1 of standing under the water and enjoying the heat versus actual cleaning of your crevices. Uncorking a new bottle of yummy red wine from Spain (Baron de Barbon Oak Aged Rioja 2010). Very dry, fruity, with a hint of vanilla. An excellent book to read. (Neil Gaiman's American Gods) Miles Davis playing on my iPod. Only a few things could have made it better.We didn't quite get the snow we were supposed to today, but it was still rather miserable out. It has been raining for four straight days now, and tomorrow looks no different. It's a bit depressing. I was planning on buying a bicycle and to start getting out on the weekend. Exercise and fresh air. I may have to put it off for awhile as May is probably going to be very April in nature. Nothing but low 50's and rain. I need to become a more outdoors person...and not just an outdoors on the patio at a bar drinking.

Kids And A Disease
I was always wandering what the child with the cancer was really thinking. Until one day realizing that i owned a damn clinic for the kids. So i asked my head nurse what she thought about me talkin to some of them about how they felt. she said its knowledge you seek so i see no harm. I did this for about 2 weeks, and to my surprise my question was answered. Ya the children hurt more, BUT not for the reasons you might think. They hurt more not because they had cancer but because they saw the pain it caused in there loved ones and what they were going threw. It was amazing to see the courage these kids have and that they no what is happening to them and yet they still think of the ones they luv first. Im impressed and im so very glad i do what i do for them because of that. I'll always be a chef, but doing this as a past time is my most rewarding feet in life. So to my kids at the clinic i luv you, and may the angels of life look upon you.

Irony.. I'm cured of wanting friends or love. The true irony of it lays in the fact now im focused on wanting what would allow me to want those things again. I realize now when I attain it again i'll be no more happy than I was when I had them before. They say you don't know what you had until you lose it. Though, when you gain it again your quality of life does not improve. The truth is... you didn't need it at all. You just needed to need something. What happens when you decide you need nothing?
