Being a music lover and composer, I was introduced to the versatility and high performance of Casio Keyboards quite early in life. So when I learnt about the company’s plan to launch yet another keyboard in the market, I was sure about it being an instant hit. Having had a firsthand experience in composing great music with my own professional digital keyboard from Casio, I was sure that the new instrument, featuring 11 Indian rhythms and 15 Indian tones would immediately make it desirable for people, who love to listen to and compose Indian music.

I soon learnt that my predictions were right, when I saw the Casio CTK850IN at one of my friend’s house. He was just as fascinated by the improved quality of the basic functions as he was he was with its 61 touch response keys. I started sharing his feelings when I was able to able to alter the notes in a minute way by simply altering the pressure applied on the keys. However, what really made me feel proud was the high quality sound and enhanced acoustics provided by the instrument, which made the Indian tones and rhythms truly come to life.

My friend also told me that this latest keyboard from Casio is fitted with a new sound engine that was capable of producing some great punchy sounds. In addition, the instrument is a boon for musicians wanting to let loose their musical imagination as it offers powerful creative features such as audio-in and sampling. In addition, the keyboard also helped musicians to minimize the dropping of notes with the help of 48 note polyphony. This was especially significant while they played layered tones or used the Auto accompaniment feature of the keyboard. Apart from these, the keyboard also provided musicians with the versatility of 180 rhythms, 600 tunes.

I personally love the Pitch Blend Wheel of this latest Casio keyboard the most. It gives me the freedom of smoothly altering the pitch of the notes which add a feeling of authenticity while creating and presenting Indian music. I also feel that the instrument has all the features that make it just perfect not only for learners but also for experienced professionals to add a new diversity to their music.
