Casio has always been my favorite brand in keyboards. There is no other brand that offers such quality, versatility, and range at such competitive prices. Hence, when I heard that they launched a keyboard specially designed to play Indian rhythms I could not but immediately buy one online. This keyboard delivers its promise in the best of the manner. I am way too impressed by its features and other attributes.
The CTK6300IN digital keyboards is everything that I expected and much more. There are as many as 12 Indian rhythms that can be played – Indian Pop 3, Indian Pop 2, Indian Pop 1, Rupak, Jhap taal, Bhajan, Teen taal, Dandiya, Keharwa, Garba, Dadra, and Bhangra. Each one is a delight to the ears.The Casio keyboard also has 20 Indian tones that can be used to create masterpieces effortlessly whenever you are in the mood. It has been able to capture the exact Indian tone – and you can create more than 700 with this repertoire - which I have used to entertain my friends who now think that I am some kind of musical whiz kid.
Indian classical music is very rich, almost sensual and with this keyboard you can play everything just the way you want it. Choose any one or a combination of the stereo sampled grand piano tones offered – table, pungi, bansuri, sarangi 2, sarangi 1, shahanai, sarod 3, sarod 2, sarod 1, santur 2, santur 1, harmonium 3, harmonium 2, harmonium 1, tanpura 2, tanpura 1, sitar pad, sitar 3, sitar 2,and sitar 1. With this keyboard, I felt that I have got a sword like tool, which can generate any kind of music.
The best part which I am totally in love with is that you can use the 17 track song sequencer as a multitrack recorder to create and record a song with the accompaniment of other supporting instruments in the background (such as guitar, bass, drum etc) to have a complete song as you are building it. You can use the real time recorder or step recording function to create songs which can be converted to a standard MIDI file (SMF) format so you can store it in your SD card.
The large dial is an excellent aid when you are creating music as it guides you on the mixer and sequencer functions effortlessly. This is one of the best Casio keyboards I have used and though I have bought it for my own entertainment and pleasure this can easily be used as a professional digital keyboard for both creating and delivering outstanding music with Indian flavor.
