you know when i was a kid i was always told that showing tears and sadness are signs of being a wimp and not a strong man
i was also told that men who cry are not men, they are cowards
so i went for a long time afraid of crying in front of my loved ones
i guess holding it in for so long turned me into a withdrawn, isolated lonely untrusting man
some of you who know me prolly felt the same way i did at one time
the other day i went to visit my ex-wife's grave along with my brother in law and his wife and son along with my two sisters and their husbands
we were laying roses at her gravesite when i broke down and cried like a little baby
one of the husbands said man stop your damn crying you little baby
my son said daddy's being a man....
the whole way back i felt so much hurt when he kept on ridiculing me for showing emotion like that
but what does he know?
am i so wrong to cry?
or am i just being a regular human being?
