Is everyone on the planet a fucking moron?! Or is it just the people in this town? I’m not sure about the rest of the world but stupidity is pretty common here where I’m from. I work in a bakery. I have to be up at one am to be to work at 2 in the morning.. In order to do this I have to be in bed by 5 or 6 in the evening. I was having a real problem with this. So they were going to work it out so I would be going in around ten at night and getting done around one or three in the morning. (its only a crappy part time job) I thought .. Ok this will be great! It will be a lot easier to just go to bed at 3am than to go to bed in the middle of the day and get up that early. So there it is.. The WHOLE reason for me going in at 10pm so I didn’t have to try and get some sleep in the middle of the day. Staying up a couple hours later wouldn’t be a problem at all.. WELL.. They keep pushing the hours longer and longer. So it isn’t just staying up a few hours later.. Now in order to work from ten pm to 7am.. I would HAVE to go to bed in the middle of the day! And even earlier than I was going to bed before. I tried talking to my boss and manager about this but neither of them can seem to get it through their heads that its just making a much bigger mess than before. And what am I supposed to do with those extra hours? I would be done doing my work at 3am.. I would have to stay until someone else got there to let them in. GIVE THEM A FREAKING KEY. Problem solved! But NO the other people don’t want a key. Too much responsibility. Geezus! They have a key to their house don’t they? And to their car! What’s so hard about having another one on their key ring for a store. So for now I’m still stuck at 2am until they can figure out a way to make it work. Which it wont. There isn’t any other way. I would like to find a new job. But my options are limited here. I don’t have a car and it’s such a small town. No place seems to me looking for help. Maybe I’ll become a phone sex operator. LOL.
This problem with the schedule isn’t the only beef I have with my job. I don’t get enough hours. There is a little old lady there who bitches about Everything. I’m not sure lady is the right word for her. She’s not much of a lady. Little old bitch maybe. I think that is more suitable for her. Now I normally don’t have a problem with old people. But his one is freakin nuts! She’s been there for like 28 years so she thinks she knows everything about the bakery. Which by the way she doesn’t. She’ll tell me to do something one way even though I KNOW its not the way it’s supposed to be done. But if I don’t listen to her and do it how she says she yells at me like I’m a dog who just pissed on the carpet. She’ll tell me to take things out of the oven when the obviously are not done. And if I leave them in there she just goes and takes them out her self.. Now I’m not the only one who has a problem with her. She has threatened to kill one of the other women that work there I don’t know how many times. Many people have quit because of her. I’ve quit because of her. If I do something wrong fine tell me. But you don’t need to make me feel like I’m an idiot every single day. When she first started in on me I would just walk away from her. But that doesn’t work any more. She doesn’t let it go. And nothing is EVER her fault. If something is too dark it was the ovens fault. If something is too small it’s the proof boxes fault. You have to leave bread and buns in a thing called a proof box so they raise and when they are the right size you put them in the oven. Instead of leaving something in the proof box another half an hour she puts it in the oven so half the time things are WAY too small. Once There was an order for sub buns. There were supposed to be four dozen subs. She made them the day ahead (why I don’t know) . Well she only made 2 dozen. I packaged up the 2 dozen and left a note letting her know that they were not all there. But some how it was my fault. She was mad the next day because she had to make 2 more dozen. She was going on saying “ I want to know what the hell she did with the rest of the subs” Like I’m just going to toss the in the trash to make more work for her. She called me a dumb sun of a bitch. Right in front of my mother(who also works there). My mom asked her why she called me that and the bitch said she didn’t say it. Even though my mom had heard her say it 2 seconds ago. It gets Much worse and I have a lot more to go on about but my fingers are getting tired. . .
