I looked inside my heart 
to find out where I'd gone wrong 
what I would find 
I was not sure 
I opened up a memory 
to see what was inside 
your picture fell out at me 
with emotions I thought had died
a love so pure 
buried so deep 
I don't know how it survived
one look at that picture 
was all it took 
I sat and cried 
for what I lost 
the special bond 
the part of me so pure
now it is gone 
all that's left
