Well i could have been working today, but as its my day off and i want a life, i decided to say no. Well the new chargehand was complaining she had a touch of the flu ... you either have flu or you don't, you don't get a touch of the flu! Anyway, she has already been sick this week, so it would flag up big time. The other chargehands couldn't do it, because they was busy and the supervisor couldn't, as he will be in all next week too.
I just felt that she is trying to get out of doing her saturday, we've all had to do it, and mine is in 2 weeks time. It didn't help with my brother telling me that everytime he saw her, she was either moping around and looking sorry for herself or propping up a wall and not bothering to do anything. One thing i have learnt is that she flirts to try and get what she wants, and until she shows me she can pull her weight then she can forget any help in me covering her turns unless I have to.
Sha has to do new years eve and how much does anybody want to bet she tries to get me to cover? There is no way in hell unless i have to cover.
I just think she isn't going to last long in the job and will be gone, but she wanted the money and you have to do the work that goes with it. I used to hate saturdays, but now I have got used to them and fell they are pretty easy.
