Dear Boys,

I am writing you because I am tired of being your "wingman". I don't want to hear you complain anymore that you can't figure out girls because it's really not that hard. I will attempt to give you an insight and then from their you are on your own.

Say what you mean to say. I can feel some of you already thinking "but girls don't do that"...and you're right. We say what we think you want to hear. It's a defense mechanism. Always assume that a girl is looking for a relationship and not a one night stand. Here's a crazy idea: If you're out and there's that cute girl all over you and she invites you back to her place...go. If you really aren't "in the place for a relationship" then say that to her. Tell her it's not going past that one night. 9/10 she'll appreciate the fact that you just saved her alot of heartache the next day when she is trying to hang out with you and you're trying to be elusive. In that regard...don't go back night after night. Can you put yourself in the place of that girl who is putting herself out there for you? She's thinking about you during the day and slowly realizing as the days go on that you're really not into her. You're into having sex with her. Sure, you tell her that you really like her. But the only time you ever want to see her is after a couple drinks so you can get laid. If that's not the case then you should probably make a little more effort because that's what it's looking like.

Have you ever had someone just stop talking to you? They just up and disappear with no reason...it hurts. How about they eventually give a reason that's the lamest thing you've ever heard and you KNOW that they just don't like you but need to hear it from them? If you don't like a girl in that way then just say so...don't just disappear and be a coward.

Ladies are each an endangered species. We don't care about your money. We care about the little things. We like conversation and going out and having fun. We like unexpected surprises or a hand-drawn picture of two bunnies that says "if we were rabbits, I'd let you have the bigger half of the carrot" (I've seen it...it was cute...she's a lucky girl). We deserve your respect because we would walk through fire for most of you and we have no clue why.

We do not deserve boys with a criminal background breaking our pumpkins because of something that happened a year ago. We do not deserve thinking we're sort of with someone and then never hearing from them again. We do not deserve to feel less than a 22 year old woman because 3 years ago the birth control failed and there's now a beautiful little girl (or boy) on this planet. We do not deserve to give chances over and over again with the same end results. We do not deserve to be crying ourselves to sleep because some stupid boy would rather be with a slut. (There is a difference between a slut and a lady...I'm talking about ladies). We do not deserve to always be the "best friend" or "wingman" because we do not want to get you laid.

Some of us ladies don't want a relationship right now. Isn't that amazing! We'll let you know, though. We won't use you for sex because we can probably do it better on our own, anyway.

I'm not saying any of this in a mean spirited way. I care about all of you boys and want to see you happy. I care about my ladies and want to see them happy. There's some bad ones in each of the genders, but don't let them speak for the entire gender. I know there's some good guys out there. If you're reading this then let yourself be known, step up, and grow some balls. Stop letting all the bad ones do the talking.

I'm going to take my sassy pants off now and put on some mom jeans. Yes, I said mom jeans. Deal with it
