I saw two lovers across a field,
dancing together by a dying tree,
the gentleman looking upon his love,
to him more beautiful than a dove.
He listened carefully to her speech,
then placed his hands upon her cheeks,
and although I know not what was said,
he kissed her soft and tenderly.
