Born and raised in British Columbia, I now live out east in New Brunswick, where I drive transport throughout the Province. I have been around the world in the Navy and all over North America when I drove long haul, but nothing beats being home everyday!

Interests
I love the scenery of the Rocky and Coastal Mountains. Living near the ocean, specially when the cool misty breeze just before the fog rolls in on a sticky hot day. Photography, philosophy, astronomy, internet, audio books and severe weather.

Idols
Courtesy of MsTags.comAll the service men and women who are serving for their countries abroad. We were very fortunate during the Gulf War 1990 to have had no deaths or injuries, and I was glad to have come home with the same people I left with after my tour of duty over there.
Results are different this time around. So far the Canadian losses amount to 56 soldiers, 1 diplomat, and 1 serving with US Forces in Afghanistan since 2002. We have also lost 2 serving with US Forces and 8 civilians with the UN, Red Cross, and Christian Childrens Fund in Iraq. Our roles as Canadians have changed again from being Peacekeepers to Peacemakers.
Although the losses we endured are the highest we have seen since the Korean War, our losses are small in comparison to those that the U.S. have endured in the Middle East. The total number of U.S. military fatalities stands at 3,508.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all those families affected by the loss of their loved ones.
