Your Child is a clean slate
take care of what you write on them.
Children fall down,
Never stop helping them get up.
But remember ,thats why god made them so close to the ground.

You handpumped shampoo all over the rug:
Squirted toothpaste everywhere:
Ripped up all my papertowels
Threw everything out of the grocery cart:
Popping the trunk to the car over and over:

How sweet are you?
Your scared of the dark but follow me anywhere.
You love to help me with my chores but won't do your own.
You followed me to the bathroom but wouln't go by yourself.
Your a true escape artist,except when I need a minute alone
You love bugs but your afraid to touch them.
You can never make up your mind what to watch on TV
Your toys aren't interesting unless someone else is interested in them.
You've aquired a serious taste for MOPARS (my fault)
Your scared of thunder but love the rain.
We play tackle with no football.
You ran me down with a powerwheel ..
I love those days.

We played in a creek.we made our own pond
I taught you that sometimes when you take away you make a pond bigger
we danced to Jazz.
Played with the unicorn music box till you fell asleep.

Toby earned his first quarter, returning a golfball to a man who had hit it into our creek.
The creek was empty the day was hot.
You were ready for another one of mommys adventures
We walked the heat stricken path covered in rocks
Enclosed by brush
Where water used to be.
Followed it much further than I had planned to go.
When no end was in sight there was something more to show.
A beautiful pond to deep to follow and you never gave up hope
When your thirst is unquenchable the path unbearable
The quest unknown I learned this fron you this time .
Thanks for all you've shown.
Its always harder to get there than it is to get back.
