To fall in love with you

Was the last thing I wanted to do

I’ve been through too much pain

Been left out in the rain

Then came along the day you walked into my life

You took away most of the pain and strife

Made me feel good about myself

Put me up upon a shelf

Like some precious ornament

Made only for adornment

But when the world begins to quake

Watch out I may fall and break

So hold me close to you

Or you’ll need a lot of glue
