I'm American and I am not used to seeing this...I just took a bus home from Malate...and on the way home when the bus was at a red light, I noticed a little girl who couldn't have been more than 5 years old...she looked so tiny standing next to the cars and I could see that she was barefoot with dirty feet and her clothes were also visibly dirty...she kept going up to the cars at the red light and was trying to sell a can of soda (probably so she can get something to eat)...as I watched her, she looked up and noticed me...she gave me the biggest smile, tilted her head all cute like and held up the can of soda...I immediately wanted to jump off that bus, get her out of the street before she was hit by a car and get her something to eat...as the bus pulled away, she waved goodbye to me and gave me an even bigger smile...she's just a baby and I felt awful just sitting their on the bus watching her without helping her...this is why I'm here my friends, to get these children off the streets...the next time you think you're having a bad day, or your life sucks remember this story about the little girl I saw ♥
