So I was going through different news sites when I found something that I found to be rather heart warming... heroism from everyday people!
First there was the guy who saved the teenager in the subway. So this 50 yr old father of 3 is standing on the subway platform with 2 of his children waiting on thier traim. Suddenly, the 19 yr old next to them goes into a seizure which toppled him onto the tracks in the path of an oncoming train.
The quick thinking father jumps on top of this kid and rolls him between the rails just as the train operator seen the men on the rails and threw the e brake. Once the train came to a complete stop it was just inches above both the men.
The second story is of a shoddy baby sitter and 2 heroes!
A Bronx baby sitter apparently got distracted and a 3 yr old in her care climbed out of a 5th floor window!! He then fell through a gap to the fire escape below which was about 40 foot from the ground!!
Well 2 men who were near seen the child dangling as he was trying to get back up to where he had fallen from, dangling like a rag doll above the mouth of death ... OMG I just got chills up my neck!
Ok so these 2 men seen him dangling from the railing and they both ran over and got underneath him. The toddler inevitably lost his grip and fell ... he hit a tree branch then bounced off the chest of one of the men and landed in the arms of the other!
I hope that babysitter has nightmares of what could have happened if that child's guardian angel had not been doing the job that was the sitters!!
All 3 of the men claim that they are not heroes and that they have done nothing that any other parent or father would have done.
I beg to differ. Not everyone is the type of special person it takes to have no concern for your own safety to save another.
These are the heroes of our society today.
They are also my heroes of today
