Some people have it in their heads that Gilligan's Island was represenative of the Seven Deadly Sins (I'm one of them) but people have different interpetations of who represents what. For people who know me in the Realworld, they have heard what I am about to type, but for all of you in the Fu-World, here's my who's who of the Seven Deadly Sins and why.
1)Pride (The Professor) - For a guy who can recharge batteries with sea water, make a muscle-powered washing machine and even radiation suits, he sure couldn't build a boat or anything else to get them off the island. It seems to me that he has a little too much Pride in his intelligence.
2)Greed (Mr. Howell) - Quite obviously the easiest pick. Money rules his world. He was going to swim back when he thought he was going to lose his fortune. On an island where surviving is more valuable than paper, he still put cash as his priority. He's Greed personified.
3)Lust (Ginger) - Another Obvious pick, but due to the censors you have to read a little to get it. All she was about was sex and how she could use it (Not a bad thing.). Why else would she wear those tight full-body covering gowns instead of having the Professor make them a little more tropical worthy. I believe she craved sex like a junkie, but look at her alternatives. She embodies and suffers from Lust.
4)Envy (Mary Ann) - She wanted what Ginger "had". Fame, sex appeal(She had is as a Farmer's daughter. Just reference all of the jokes) and even the attention. It took a blow to the head to reveal it when she thought she was Ginger. Envy was her monkey on her back.
5)Gluttony (Gilligan) - Most people think Gilligan should be Sloth, but if you look at all the shows, he was constantly about food, eating food and stealing food were Gilligan's demon in a bottle. Never gained a pound and was constantly hungry, Gluttony and Gilligan were hand-in-hand.
6)Sloth (Mrs. Howell) - Out of all the castaways, Mrs Howell was the one who did the least on the island. With few exceptiions, such as when she ate the radioactive beets and gained super speed, all Mrs. Howell did was stand around or sat around doing nothing. Nothing gets more Slothful than that.
7)Wrath (The Skipper) - Most people think that the Skipper should be Gluttony because he's fat, but he wasn't controlled by food. He sure loved beating on Gilligan with that hat though. Always running on a short fuse, if Gilligan messed up (which was often) the Skipper was always there to berate him and smack him with his hat. A Wrathful Skipper was as much at fault as Gilligan for all of Gilligan's errors.
