The Faeries Song
We stand in the center of space between space
and we come here time after time.
All of our sorrows and deeds in this place
are subjects of song and of rhyme.
What does it matter to wear a new face
or to appear in a different clime.
If only we dance with style and with grace
recalling the tune and the time.
For we are the dancers you see in your dreams
You blink and then we are gone.
Nothing is ever quite what it seems
But the memories still linger on.
So wake! and come out to join our dance
She rises, our Lady, the Moon.
Leave care and troubles. Don’t miss the chance.
The dance it is ended too soon.
Look there, hear the feet that pass
Bending not a blade of grass .
