We start out early in life with hope, dreams, positive attitude, belief in possibilities, and it seems in no time our hopes are shattered to bits as our hearts are slashed to bits by time and circumstance and broken promises.

Then we try to move on. To start again. To believe someone else will treat us better.

Then that, too, turns sour in time...

Then, after deciding there is no hope, we sometimes find ourselves wanting it to work out with someone we have met.

We understand they are a bit cynical because of what they have been through with others. We forgive their lack of trust, since they have been betrayed so cruelly. And we expect the same of them.

Later in life relationships are not easy. But, when they are good, they are so very good.  It seems it is worth  the struggle when it is good. Nothing is easy. Nothing is really 'fair'.  

You just can't give up all hope, right?  You have to keep trying, right?  

I see the hope in the pairing off of couples here on Fubar, and I wish them all so very much good fortune, patience, and happiness.
