The depth of friendship

           "A true friend"

Some people take this word for granted
They use it to describe almost anyone,whom touches their lives,
But that is NOT fair
For nor everyone fits this word.
It is easy to be a pal,or a buddy,
a companion,or an acquaintance,
but to be a TRUE FRIEND,means so much very more....
To be a friend
means being trusted,as well as trusting.
Honest and dedicated.
Supportive and available
It means going strong with your own lifes work,and plans,
yet reaching out to another when you are needed,
(and maybe even when you're not)
To be a true friend is to be fun,and fair.
Seriousnan so silly(which we SOOO are) To make the mundance exciting
The unexpected acceptable.
To be the silent STRONG HOLD without being asked.
To be happy for someone else's happiness,and to share the deepest of burdens of sorrow,in our thoughts,as well as our actions.
The qualifications of being a true friend
are too high for the ordinary to ever reach.
It takes a while to earn this title,
and a lifetime to truly know the meaning.
NEVER take the job lightly(I know I never have),or ever give it away too quicky(or you can,and probably will be burned,as I have)
It must be cultured,nurtured,and cared for.
For when you truly find a friend,
you are so very lucky to have ONE for LIFE!!!!!
