Just a quick update on whats going on in my so called wonderful life...
Today I had the finacial appt trying to get on the grant for the counseling, they couldnt set me up with another appt till Aug 11, but she told me to try to come in and be a walk in at 7:30 in the morning to see if I can be seen before that.
I am getting a little more used to the house for the most part. Next Friday will be my cook night for the 1st time, so I plan on doing something easy the 1st night then after that attempting to do harder things, its just I have never in my life cooked for 12 people.
My caseworker will be back next week, she has been on vacation since before I moved in, and I hear out of the two, she is the one that will keep me on my toes more. I have a list of goals made up to work on, along with strategies to get them done. They range from getting this grant, getting a physical, going to a 6 week class called reponsible renters, and would you believe she even put down learning to play the guitar :) I have always wanted to learn to play the acoustic, I just dont know if my wrists will allow it.
The past few days my knees and ankles have been giving me hell, right now my left ankle is all puffy like its swollen and hurts to walk on, blah... my knees are just plain hurting. My room is upstairs here so I do a lot of stairs constantly, so maybe thats why but not sure. BUT I would not want to change rooms, cuz I like sharing a bathroom with only one other person, and its located in a quiet part of the house.
I do need this counseling bad though, this depression although I am trying to keep myself busy is wearing me thin. I need to get my meds changed, I know I am sounding like a broken record, I just feel that if I keep repeating myself that something will come out of this.
The nice thing is my daughter doesn't live too far away so I have been doing some running around with her. The place where I will be taking the classes has a computer lab, and since she is looking for work and has no pc, she has been going down there with me and doing applications online.
Oh well, enough for tonight just wanted to do a quick update...
