I stripped my Kampfer today.
Yup.

So anyway, the Kampfer.

I've taken the third step in modifying my Kampfer into my "Commander" style.
and can I just say
Holy shit what a complicated suit.
And there's still a load bearing issue on one of his knees, which I don't think I can get at right now.
I remember there being several redundant processes when I was working on the calf.
I didn't remember how touchy the torso was.
Ugh.
and I have to come up with an extra color for my scheme possibly.
See, the Kampfer comes in this blue-aqua (it looks blue til you hold it up against something BLUE) armor plating
dark-dark grey internals
dark grey joints
and light grey joints.
About anything designed to pivot or roll is in light grey, waist, shoulder, hands, top of the foot
the dark-dark is primarily invisible under the armor
the aqua makes up 80% of the exterior.
17 yellow boosters
4 yellow vents
3 spikes when there should be six (granted I could canabalize my extra kampfer and use that shoulder to even it out)
basically, I drafted the Commander without taking into consideration the under-armor or the light grey parts...
the dark grey internals may look too homogenous with the new armor color, and the light grey is just...
well its going to look like shit unmodified, it already does.
That may mean
that I have to paint hands.
Again.
Fuck.
Also, since these vents and jets are VERY small, I may handpaint.
That is also a suck sandwich.
At least I have them seperated from the main body.
And the body is... mostly in the parts it needs to be.
that just leaves us with the Rakketen bazooka, the gouf shield on a forearm obviously not designed for it, and ... there was more... oh
somehow recasting the damn spikes.
I think I'll look at the parts in front of me, and the paint scheme at a later time.
The picture above was the rough draft. Very few transitions, I'll also need to look at the gundam crossfire paint scheme again, see if there's more or fewer modifications.
