new tires — Tuesday, November 14, 2006
I got new tires today. They should get me around through the snow. I just need to get some sand, and/or cement to put in the back of my truck. Tires, my accomplishment for the day.
I got my math done that I needed to do for thursday too. I did it before he went over the chapter, so it took a long time. I kept thinking I must have totally forgot all of it cuz I got drunk on friday or something. I did the last section on monday or tuesday, and I couldn't remember him even going over it. ( That's cuz he didn't, I didn't completly blackout all memerory of it him teaching it. Theres little that compares with the feeling of losing your mind, or chunks or your memory being gone. ) It took me about 5 hrs to get done with that section. And had to have lots of help from the math tutor. Whatever though. I think it's impossible for me to get even a "c" at this point. It's just if I can get a d or not I guess. And also how well I'll do next semester when I take it over again...
I went over the chapter I'm on in my psychbook. I was going to read the next one, but we haven't finished the one we are on yet in class, so it didn't seem necesary. I read most of the chapter on prisons and jails in my criminal justice book. It's rather long. My teacher said we should read all the way through to the end of the juvenile chapter. That's about 100 more pages. I'm not too worried about it though. I know most of the people in class won't do it. and if there's a test on all of it, most of them will not do well, and he always adjusts the scores. Or atleast he did the last two tests. He said after the first one that he would't do that agian though. So I don't know, whatever. Everyone( each teacher ) seems to have their own system of how they do things, I ain't in charge, so there isn't anything I can do about it anyway.
I just try to go with th flow for now. I'll do better next semester, as I'm doing better at the end of this one than the beginning. It just takes a little time to adjust after not being in school for so long. Not only that but in an envirement where simply surrviving the day was an accomplishment moving you ahead to one less day in Iraq, or in the army at all. Now, simply living another day doesn't get me anywhere. I have to actually do stuff to go ahead in life. As, I have said since joining the army and going through AIT, It's kinda made me fat and lazy.lol. ( well, maybe not fat, last time I weighed myslef I was around 140lbs, and I'm 5'9. That's kinda how my brain feels though.)
