Sounds like pancakes this morning, coffee, post shower sex
On the tips of every finger is welcoming flesh
My life is together, like Ikea cabinets- all it took was the right wrench
Nevermind that for the first time in a week,
I'm asleep for more than an hour,
And here I thought I'd never fool myself into peace.

Know what happens when you stop sleeping?
I'll tell you when everything is done slipping.
Like raindrops on a petulant runaway wife.
Like a distant blaring alarm of my distortion.
Sacrificing this peace to the sadistic smile of sunrise.
