Reality blurs boundaries,
binds dreams with sharp wire
extracting all hope as
sleep seems distant,
miles down a road of despair
desire, glass destiny painted
in pastel hues

and I can only hope for
tomorrow to be better,
to feel stable, not
another earthquaking
chasm in memory

miles becomes my veins
drained of blood, of love
of you, as you stand by
the seaside, sand between
your toes, pleading with heaven
for closure, to heal the
strain of loving me.
