I long for the days without a care,
Summer days playing catch with the dog.
Of an endless freedom of youth,
Now almost hidden in my 9 to 5 fog.
To be young and carefree again,
Would be a wonderment of its own.
Relive all my younger days,
Days that are long since gone.
The smiles and crys of the chilldren,
Put everything right in my mind.
They are the reason I've made it this far,
To this point and time.
With my tears in thier eyes,
My smile on thier face.
Through them my memoreys come to life,
And watch them grow in my place.
Even though I grow older,
My heart and mind stay young.
As each one takes its first breath,
Once again my life has begun.
