Heartache
Oh how my heart aches in this desolate time
Finding faith in friends and words so kind
Tragedy strikes when you least expect it
Initial reaction is one of fear and pain
Later comes the hate and disdain
How could one do that to so many
Understanding and comprehension are nowhere to be found
Life and time slowly stand still as the world catches it breath
Sadness and sorrow emanate from all touched by death
Freedom comes with a price
And now more have lost a life
Blame is placed on the parents, society and self
Hindsight is twenty-twenty to all looking in
But could it have been stop it when it began
Questions and doubts cloud the mind
Oh how the heart aches in this desolate time
