You know cartoons are supposed to be funny. This one is just plain stupid
Oh well Good Morning anyway. If you can’t see the cartoon you are not missing much. I am not sure if it will blogs well or in some networks I frequent will be able to see it either. I can explain the just of it for those who are not able to see it. The Title of the cartoon was MARCH MADNESS … depicting America’s basketball frenzy of finding out which college team is the best in the nation. But, this is the political style of March Madness in which the cartoonist did their political satire using not basketball teams in a bracket format but, nations. It shows USA and IRAQ in a match and USA moving on to face an unknown opponent. Seriously bad taste. I believe some cartoonists do these types of pictures to raise eyebrows, get publicity or the phrase I often use (not here very often) stir the shit when they do not need to. As if the world is not already up in arms, no pun intended. Bad joke, and actually these styles of jokes have rabble roused the Muslims numerous times. Sad thing is that newspapers and magazines still print them. It’s like the ban on smoking is nation wide and those who smoke are finding it harder and harder to find smoking areas..(places where they can smoke freely) but, the ad’s continue in magazines and not many stores do not carry cigarettes. You know here is a way to stop smoking. I should send my ideas in…but alas I will not. How do you get someone to not buy a certain product? Easy! Do not shelve or carry the product to be sold. You know there is not a gas station, convenience store, or just a plan grocery store that does not carry cigarettes? So how are they to curb a need when they show it so well? Oh yeah the checkout’s always have cigarettes in easy view… Oh this was not about who smokes, and why. I guess I still am having a hangover from yesterdays TTD (Tuesday Tirade Day) It just seems to me, the more places they ban the cigarettes the more places you see people standing outside smoking in their designated areas to smoke. Honestly, it shames me to say, those people look like the hoodlum groups back in the day at school that gathered together to smoke and hide the fact that they were. Oh well.. enough on that.
First day of spring in Michigan. Yeah it feels like the first day of spring in Alaska. Freezing rain out there now and supposed to turn to all rain and warmer.. throughout the day. Other then that nothing new on the home front Mandy’s Picture was in the paper and I will see if I can scan it and send it out to those who want it. She won an award for her charcoal drawing of Lizard looking through the deck railing. The sketch was put on display along with other works of art at a local artiest gallery this past week. She is now doing an oil of her nephew. If that one turns out as well as the charcoal drawing I will also digitalize it as well, but for now I have typed my little fingers into submission and need to get some reports finalized. So please have yourself a beautiful day and for those that use this opportunity to justify having it as an actually Hump Day, happy humping. All others Happy Wednesday.
