first the bad news
I bought the cutest pair of shoes yesterday .. black and white plaid flats... adorable..
but me being a dumbshit decided to wear them for the first time today...
ok... that NORMALLY wouldn't be a problem.. but i had them on for 14 hours straight...
my feet are shredded... my pinkie toe on the left foot is almost twice the size because of like 3 blisters on it alone... not counting the few others...
it hurts.. bad... but i managed to get it into some water to soak...
good news time!!
I work at a resort and casino. I don't know who else works in the service industry but most people who do have to deal with a thing called "secret shoppers"...
Secret shoppers are a big deal at my job... you can get fired if you don't score high on their report IF you get shopped that month...
Well I was shopped and did WONDERFUL on it :D makes me happy

RESERVATIONS
The reservation call was made on 9/17/08 at 9:30 PM. The phone was initially answered by Pamela on the first ring. She transfered the call to reservations and the phone was answered by Vanima. She identified herself and the department as part of her greeting. She asked if I had a MYCHOICE card, the dates of the stay, how many guests and the room type desired. Vanima offered to look up my card when i did not have the number available. She verified she had the correct card using my date of birth. She asked if I had a room type preference and quoted the rate for a king room as requested. Vanima requested a credit card to guarantee the room for late arrival. She recapped the reservation information in total and asked if I had visited since the construction was finished. She talked about the spa, pool area and all the additional shopping options. She provided the check-in/out times the cancellation policy, and provided a confirmation number. She then thanked me and wished me a good night. My name was used no less than four times during this call.
This is like a perfect call. My boss was excited when she handed me that... which made me happy cause I got scored well.
THEN she handed me another paper...
on it said
VANIMA-RESERVATIONS
She very efficiently took my reservation and asked all the right questions to fulfill my needs. She seemed to not be able to say enough nice things about the property and all of the renovations that had been going on.
and under that it said
"I recommend Vanima for a 5 star service employee"
I about passed out. Basically she is recommending that I be eligible for employee of the month!! Only 5 people were nominated by her.. and i was one of them!
Granted.. I still have to be chosen by the big bosses to be a 5star.. but that nomination goes a LONG way... I mean I have only been there 6 months! I have already received one award for doing a good job.. and now this?!
If I get 5star.. I am gonna pass out!
like i said.. that makes you eligible for employee of the month... which is one of 6 people every month... which are the 6 people who get 5 star...
from that.. the 12 employee of the months go up for employee of the year... which if you win.. you get a 1 week trip to vegas for 2!
and they give you food money.. and some gambling money.. and little trips.. and other stuff...
