gettin political........

I see some people here or there on the fu ready to vote for Obama. I'm not voting for him. Let me tell you why. 1. For 20 years he attended trinity united church in Chicago, Illinois...... his place of residence. This church has a history of black liberation theology which promotes black supremacy, not equality. 2. When he started seeking political office in Illinios he sought the support of William Ayers, someone who is part of "weather underground" a terrorist network here in the united states that has bombed New York City police headquarters and the Pentagon. Mr Ayers on 911 said publicly that the terrorists had not done enough. This oviously means hes not a repentant man. Obama has not distanced himself, or for that matter even publicly scolded Mr. Ayers for those actions. The president of the united states (and anyone wishing to become one) should at the very least hold some kind of adverse stance to those who want to cause chaos and terror in the united states. 3. Yes, he has been a state senator and U.S. senator but what has he done in the Illinois state senate? He's voted PRESENT something upwards of 181 times. It must be nice to not have an opinion or stance on anything but child birth. While he was in the state senate he did take a stand on 1 issue. A bill came up in the state senate making it Illegal to kill a child after that child was born due to a failed abortion. Obama voted against that bill, SPOKE against that bill 3 times and did his damnedest to sink that bill, unsuccessfully. More importantly he tried to kill that bill on the face of the issue as evidenced on how he spoke about it in speeches in the senate, not for any extra spending put into it. 4. He claimed to vote against the war back in 2001. He was not in the United states senate at the time, he was in the Illinois state senate (the majority of which are democrats) where he could vote against the war without feeling any political pressure whatsoever. Right or wrong, it didnt take any guts to do this because of where he was at the time. 5. Not even a year after he became elected u.s. senator he started running for president. He has not voted yes or no on any legislation since he has been elected senator. These are all facts ON RECORD that cannot be disputed. He talks about change, but the more he talks, the more things sound the same and look the same. He wants to change the policies of the last 8 years. Lets go through this point by point. 1. The War in Iraq. The policy: regime change, ensure new government can sustain itself and that it is democratically elected. The change: pull the troops out as soon as humanly possible because the war was wrong. The problem: Although it is fairly close Iraq is not yet ready to sustain itself, pulling troops out now will leave a vaccuum in Iraq, allowing terrorsits or possibly even Iran to take over the country and basicly have the same form of government there was before the war. 2. Tax cuts The policy: anyone who has paid taxes gets a tax refund check The Change: tax cuts will be given to those making less than 250k a year (what Obama considers to be "rich") regardless of weather they even pay taxes or not. The problem: people who don't pay taxes getting free money 3. The Economy The policy: tax cuts for everyone means more money for everyone and economic growth. The change: not sure here , he just keeps saying they've failed. The problem: no one knows how Obama wants to change econmic policy for the better, but in this case lets take a look at what has happened. This is not one of president bush's strong suits admittedly, given the recent mortgage screw up....... BUT with everything that has happened negatively (terroirists attack on a financial center, hurricane katrina) those 2 event s alone were SERIOUS economic drains and yet our economy is still growing and although its not growing fast, its still growing none the less. So let's face it, the bush policies, havent been that bad for our country. Yes , I'm conservative, I won't make any bones about it, and believe me when I tell you McCain is NOT the man I want in office. His nomination was sewn up long before my state's primary even came around. On the same token I CANNOT vote for Obama, given his history and record. Feel free to leave comments, discuss this or whatever, but because it's my blog I set the rules, and the only rule I have is show respect, for me, the candidates, and each other.
