Dylans 5th birthday is Dec 23rd.My baby is going to be 5.Since is birthday and christmas are a few days apart,I start working on his party in early November.Once I have it planed and bought for,its time for Christmas. I know alot of ppl whos birthdays are around christmas time and all of them have said that someone has given them just one gift and told them it was for there birthday and christmas.Not with my son.You either get him 2 gifts or nothing at all.His birthday and christmas have nothing to do with each other.Its bad enough we have to always have his party the saturday before cuz everyone is always so busy that if we had it on the 23rd no one would be ablie to come.
I asked Dylan what he wanted his party decore to be this year and he said Spongebob. So thats what ill buy.Its so great how Dylan is old enough to pick out his own stuff.When we went to get Dave new shoes he said lets get Dylan some to.So I took Dylan over to his size and said Alright pick out a pair you want and he did.He took it very seriously too. And he picked out a kick ass pair of Skeechers.He saw Dave pick up a shoe and bend it so he tried to do it too and said I dont think so Mommy it was great.I love watching him finding stuff that HE wants and that HE likes.When you are a mom or dad,for so long you deside what they like really if you think about it.When there born till a certion age you pick out what movies are bought and watched,what toys are bought and what cloths are bought and wore.Dylan can pick out his own cloths now.He might be 4 but he does know what he does and doesnt like.
I know I will cry at Dylans party and on his birthday.I always do and I will for a while.
