Good Morning…
Are we to determine role models by what they say or what they do? I could recite numerous news stories on this Professional Athlete or this Congressman or that Court Judge or that President or even how about this teacher or that one. We had a first year band teacher in the Bangor Schools which is a school not far from where I live let go because of a posting she made on her “Face book” account. Who doesn’t have a story or heard one of someone getting let go because their posting of a certain photo, or comment, or even a statement made. Are our role models to blame? Can we safely say we elect, we accept, we hire or we look up to those who really qualify to be considered being looked up to? As a child today they have access to the internet, media reports, and first hand experience to see what some do with their power…the power of role model. Again I could name names, makes no difference who, where they originated from who they were or who they are…once you take the responsibility of being a role model and it is a responsibility do not kid yourself. Michael Jordan once said; “ I do not think of myself as a role model”…Hmmm this was way back in his early years before hitting the big time. I know this because my oldest daughter idolized him. Oh side note American Idol is back on and just tell me when the final 25 are on…if I wanted to see fools making fools of themselves I would drive to the White House or any towns public meeting place…and If I really wanted to hear pore renditions of classic tunes I would frequent the drunks on parade at any Karaoke Bar. Did you know that Karaoke in Japanese stands for: “I can’t sing but who gives a shit, you are here and have to listen!” Ok, ok I side tracked a bit…but my point is this…we give the Media the right to pull out the amendment card at will, we give races the ability to pull out the race card at will, we give the rich the ability to pull out the I am rich card so I can do what I want card and I will pay for it later…(that is a big card…) I am getting away from my point…don’t you hate it when someone tells you “My Point is this” and they never get to the damned Point! I just did it…dang it! But honestly lines have been drawn and erased because the paper keeps changing due to not hurting feelings or genders, races, people…we are way out of control as a people…you know one time you could say there were rules and those rules were in place…now…the only rule is take or be taken advantage of…

Oh and yesterday…don’t ask! I had too much, Too Much snow, Too Much Business problems Computer break downs and miss directions…added up to, oh shit I have a life to manage here…just joking but it was a day I would rather have wished on those idiots who call themselves…oh yeah Role Models and mis-confuse the term with taken advantage of the situation.
