Rev's blog: "WTF?"

I'd just like to say a big THANK YOU! to all that sent me birthday well-wishes, gifts and bling. I'm too fuckin' lazy to thank you guys individually but I appreciated the sentiments non-the-less. Thanks again :D

If you're NOT interested in how my birthday went, you can stop reading now and fuck off and do something more interesting instead.

On the Saturday night (day before my birthday) I went to a local pub to watch my friends band. He has a cover band which plays mostly hard rock/classic rock/punk and do gigs at local pubs, clubs, universities, etc. My wife and a select few friends joined me. It was a great night - the band were shit-hot as usual and once word that it was my birthday got out I got quite a few drinks bought for me. Needless to say that I got shit-faced. That, along with the real good weed a real good friend bought me as a gift, fucked me up big time.

The highlight of the evening was when the band played Metallica's 'Am I Evil' and dedicated it to me. My friend in the band knows I fuckin' HATE Metallica, but since he didn't force me to sing the fuckin thing (he's got me singing with them a few times - the fact I CANNOT sing doesn't seem to stop him or the rest of the band from sticking a mic in my face when they know that I'm in a chemically altered state and can't say no) I took it in jest as it was intended.

On the Sunday, the day of my birthday, I went to my parent's local watering hole - a social club kind of place - where people bought me even more drink. I got so drunk that I played bingo then sang Tom Jones's 'Delilah' on the karaoke, much to the amusement of my parents and wifey.

On the Monday, wifey and I went to the Fife coast (East coast of Scotland) where my parents have a holiday place. We had a great few, alcohol free days there - the sun was shining and it was reasonably hot, which was good since the rest of Scotland had pissing down rain.

If you read past the 'thanks' at the start of this blog... well... you're really fuckin' bored, right? :P
