Yes I finally got around to fitting the new fender. Well me thinking that if i can't cut the bolt off, i didn't really want to break the old fender off the bike. " hours later of cutting the head off and leaving enough to still trap the bolt, I realised i should have broken the old one off and then cut from the other side. Well when i cut that side off I still couldn't get the old blot out because there was no head to undo the bolt LOL. A quick use of a file sorted that as it freed the part of the nut left to undo by hand and the bolt dropped out.
It was a bit of a squeeze putting the new one in but it fitted and bolted up perfectly. As i was down there on one side of the bike, something caught my eye. It seems that where the indicator enters the upper fairing, it somehow got broken and the panel screw was tightned too far. Now when this happened is the question because its a slight crack and fixable with a bit of super glue, but I have a feeling it may have been done when the bike was having new downpipes fitted.
At the time i was so happy to have it back that i didn't check for things like that, plus i had to have the bike picked up to have a new lock fitted when that broke. Just pisses me off that it happened but its easily fixable, plus i have some touch up of the paintwork to do because i dropped it one day while trying to reverse walk it LOL. Thats another story and you will have to ask if you want to hear it LOL.
