Math and school and stuff
Oooh, so fun day today, kinda I guess. I went to school. I left my bookbag in my truck and started walking toward the light to cross the street. Actually running down the hill cuz I was in a hurry is more accurate. Then I realized that my backpack was in the truck still. I ran back to my truck, and got my backpack and ran back down the hill to the light. I got to class like barely on time. There wasn't many people there for somereason. The class was mostly just stuff out of the book. We did talk about sodamy laws, and adultry laws, and fun stuff like that though. It's actually illeagle to have sex if you aren't married. ( In utah that is. ) It hasn't been prosecuted in a long long time though. Right now there is a case involving a 13male and 14yrold female that is at the state supreme court. They were caught having sex, or sodamy or something, and the 13yrold ended up getting convicted of a felony somehow. It doesn't make sense to me. Since he couldn't consent, it seems like it should be a statatury wrape charge against the 14yrold. Hopefully the supreme court clears it up, and throws the whole thing out or something. The 14yrold got charged with I think a 2nd degree misdamenor. I don't remember the exact facts, but it doesn't make any sense to me. It has to do with the parents pushing them to prosecute the 14yrold, so they had to prosecute both of them, and that's how it ended up turning out.
Next was going down to the veteran's computer lab and printing out my about me thing. It was 5 pages double spaced, but I shortened it to 4. It only needed to be 2. But how do you accuratley tell about yourself in only two pages?
Psyche class was after that. It was about giving love, and being nice to people basicly. We watched a video that talked all about it and the impact and influence it can have on people and society and such.
English was fun... I don't think I'm going to get along well with the teacher. He seems to be a rather condascending person who is stuck on these rules and thinks they are important. I brought up that they were basicly just a bunch of rules some guy made up one day so people could look down on other's for not following, and why would you want to help out a condascending person by working for them and stuff. He didn't seem too happy about the whole thing. But whatever. It's always an unsettliung idea to think that you are basicly teaching people how to be condascending, and prolonging the attitude, and such. My brother, who is was an english major seems to get somewhat annoyed looks on his face when I talk about it too. I'm just not a fan of the " Let's look down on people for not following the rules some guy made up " thing. As long as the people you are talking to understand what you are saying, it's the message that is important, not how it's written according to those rules. Yes, there may be some who won't listin to it if those rules aren't followed, just as a long time ago minoraties might as well not have talked at all cuz no one considered them important or intelligent, or equall enought to listin to anyway. Partly the way I see it is, if they won't listin to it because of how it's presented, then they don't deserve to read it. It's a privlige to read my stuff, and people don't like it, then they can fuck off, basicly.
I went back to my truck after english, and got out of the snow-crud bank I parked in. Then I went to get gas. At the gas station, someone noticed I had a flat tire. So I put air in it and drove to the place I got the tires at. Luckily, it was close by. They fixed the tire for free, and I ate the popcorn in the waiting area for lunch. I was a little late to math class.
We had a quiz today. Quizes are every tuesday, and they are straight off the homework. If you do your homework, then you can just copy the problems off your homework. I didn't do my homwork. The last problem was about money, and interest. 15,000$ money in a 6% interest account, how much should you invest in an account that earns 4% interest to get 5.5 $ interest on your money???
That's a stupid fucking question. ( I didn't write that part. ) I did write- If you have an account that earns you 6% on your money, and there's an account that earns you 4% on your money, you shouldn't invest any in the 4% account. You should invest it all in the 6% account and get 6% interest from all your money!!!!! -- ( What Kind of idiot would decied to invest some of his money in the 4% account? ) I doubt I got all, or any of the points for it. But ohwell. It's only the first quiz. And one or two get dropped. Sometimes you just have to put the common-sense obvious answere. It asked " What should~~~? " I said what should, I said a better smarter answere than what they would have put as the " right " answere.
