I got fucked out of my saturday — Saturday, March 03, 2007
I was a few minutes late to drill thismorning. about 7. I took a wrong turn and ended up making a couple uturns, so it took a bit more time to get to work than I thought. When I got to work, I told them that I needed to be transferred out. I actaully didn't even plan on staying that long, maybe a couple hrs. I was just there to quit basicly. Well, it took them a long time to find my paperwork and stuff. Meanwhile, I was trapped in that area. There was a UA that day. That's where they spend a whole day watching people pee. However, it was so poorly set up, that it took forever before people could go pee for the drugtest. I'm just skipping the details of that part. I took my test eventually, and got done around noon. They said I could go to lunch and comeback at 1pm. ( 13:00) So I did, and they told me then that My ets from the IRR was up April 6th. That makes not sense at all. Before, I wasn't done all the way until 2009. But they said next month I would be finished with my 6 year obligation. ( I had an 8 year obligation... ) So hopefully they aren't mistaken, or outright lieing to me. So anyway, I was there until around 2pm. They said to signout and go to saltlake to help them file down there. I hadn't signed in yet and wasn't worried about it because I was just going to when I signed out after finding out that I would be there longer than expected. There was a u where I was supposed to sign in at. The u meant I wasn't getting paid for the morning!!!! The money wasn't that important, but by the princeiple of the thing, I was there for about 6hrs, and they weren't going to pay me for any of it. I talked to the 1sgt about it, and she said that is what the commander said. So then I talked to the commander, and she said I was more than a half n hour late. My word against hers. I know better than she does when I got there. But anyway, I wasn't about to go all the way to saltlake to get paid for half aday. It wasn't worth the time, and gas and driving. I'm not going back tomarrow either. During the week I have to call the unit administrater and go down to saltlake to get transferred out completly. It would have been nice to get paid for one more weekend, since how I allready fucking died my hair, and got a haircut. My hair is kinda ugly now, but I do have stuff to make it better, I just need to wait a few days for the stuff I just put in to come out. The weird thing is, that I put jetblack in and left it in for more than an hour after I was done putting it in, and some pink still showed through. At the very end of the day, I talked to sgt baily about clearing supply, and she mentioned it. I didn't really care. I was on my way to my truck.
I guess I should have signed in when I first got there and the 1sgt asked me how I was and if I needed to sign in. Then I would have either been able to sign in, or found out right then if I couldn't. If i couldn't, then the day would have gone by slightly differently. Maybe it's a good thing I didn't find out if that would have really been the case cuz I may have caused far more trouble all fucking day, but I wouldn't have come back after lunch either, and I probably would have made sure I was very first in line to pee.
The saturday that they took away was worth more than they could have paid me for it even if I got paid at all. Final words for the whole situation are " fuck those mother fuckers. "
