Was going to see a movie.. bought a puppy instead
Out of boredom today, I left to go to the movie theater. I normally check the list online to see what's playing but I didn't.. I knew if I looked there'd be nothing I'd want to see and I wouldn't go. I'd just get there and see something I've already seen if need be. Well, I went to the Pet Supermarket ( as a rule they generally don't have a pets for sale except fish). Well, they had the Human Society adoption center open and I just had to look. I have a Bassett Hound mix at home named Lulu, I got her from the ladt next door whose dog had puppies. The neighbors kept one named Chubby who'd always come over to play with Lulu. They moved away and Lulu didn't have a playmate. Later we were looking for a free puppy in the paper and it seems now that it's common practice to breed mutts, give them funny names and charge 500$ for them ( I saw a boxer/pitt bull mix for 750$!.. That what my dad has and he got her for free). We saw a lab mix, and while it would be bigger than I wanted, it was free so we got him. Named him Spade and he was a decent playmate for Lulu, but he dissapeared a few weeks ago and Lulu has been moping around here depressed. I was going to look in the paper, but I wanted to get a shelter dog instead (eventhough they cost money). Anyways, I see this little hound mix puppy (blood hound from the look of him) And I asked if I could see him, oh he is the cutest thing, imediately started chewing on someones shoe. I had to get him. He is a 10-12 week old little guy named Copper (I didn't name him)
