Idols
Why can't our children see the sacrifices we make, for them, on a daily basis?
Why can't our children understand we are trying to prepare them for life?
Why can't our children believe that we want the best for them?
Why can't our children understand that as parents, our job is to work our selves out of a job.
Why can't our children accept their role as students? And I don't just mean in school. They are students of life until they venture out on their own. And we are their teachers.
Why can't our children understand that what they do (or don't do) now WILL have lasting consequences.
Why can't our children understand that life is not fair. (FOR ANYONE)
Why can't our children believe that we are hard on them because we love them. (If we didn't, we wouldn't bother with the heartaches.)
Why does God give parents the most imortant job in all of creation, and no training or instructions on how to be successful in it.
The worst part about parenting is...
By the time you figure out you're doing it wrong, it's too late to fix it.
