Conversation between me and my 4 year old grandson as I chased an annoying fly through the house. Jake: Gramma what you doing? Me: Trying to swat this stupid fly. Jake: Was it bad? Me: Yes, it’s annoying me. Jake: (after thinking about the situation for a moment) Gramma that fly is annoying me too. Do you have another naughty fly smacker I can use? Me: Yes I do. Handed the fly swatter to him and waged an epic war lmao.

Me (to daughter’s bf): Paul works at least 12 hours a day, yet when he comes home, no matter how tired he is, the man is always up doing something. He is either working outside or helping inside. You barely work 8 hours a day, yet claim you are so tired that you can’t even take trash out? What is wrong with you? Daughter’s bf: Yeah but he just drives! Me: Let me be very clear right now! Paul busts his ass every damn day! He pays the bills around here. You are a lazy little boy who just wants to play video games and not grow up. If you EVER disrespect Paul again, not only will you be out the door, I will make sure that even death will not allow you to escape my wrath!!! The other day at Walmart - Lady in line: We put up a wrought iron fence because it stops tornadoes. Me: (laughing so hard I couldn't breathe) If you believe a fence will stop a tornado, then you have more problems than Freud could handle.

I have went through the entire range of emotions. From pure rage to utter desolation. The numbness has set in and I find myself asking why him? Why Patrick? He was such a gentle and kind soul. I am not sure if I will ever know the answer to any of my questions. All I know is that when my time comes I won’t be alone on the journey to the next world because the man I call my twin, that angel of light and laughter, will be waiting to walk with me. Some people seem to have difficulty understanding the difference between genius and stupidity. It’s quite simple actually. Genius has its limits, stupidity does not.

For the record, you do not have to be able to outrun a werewolf. You simply have to be able to outrun the person next to you. After talking to Dragonon I have made a shocking discovery. Contrary to popular belief, the first thing a man looks at in a woman is her heart. The fact that our boobs are in front of it is in no way his fault. :)
