Buckeye Mike Update 6-6-24 Been back in the hospital on 20 may for another chest tube. Pneumo went away, went home been feeling great. Had clinic visit on Tuesday and then did my weekly antifungal nebulizer treatment that I just hate to do. About 2 hours later started to feel bad and have pains in my chest. Kind of blew it off as scar tissue pain but woke up Wednesday morning with high level chest pain. Called into the clinic and let them know. They said we'll get back to you. About 15 minutes later pain was pushing a strong 9 and starting to bring a tear to my eyes. So I called back to clinic and said I think I should go the hospital ED and get checked out. Well, after getting X-ray results back, The damn pneumo was back, still small but the pain is still there and different than before. Can't sleep flat had to stay set up. Taking hydrocodone to keep pain down still on a 4 level though. Hoping It gets better soon. This sucks!
Thursday the 16th of May is my 2 month birthday of my lung transplant. So happy I'm doing so well in recovery. I went and applied to go back to work.
Hope I get the job!
Today I got to come home! I received my new lung in my chest on March 16th as a gift from God! I can breathe again! 03-27-24

Good morning Fu peeps! On Saturday March 1th I received my gift from God by way of a giving soul that left earth to go be with the lord@ I am setting here in the hospital on my last day in the ICU. Doing fantastically great! I received a single very good lung! Praise god and all the awesome support people in my life! Ohio Jenny is my inspiration on here as she got her double lung back in Dec. God is Good!
The prayers for Jenny are working! I received an email this morning from her. Lungs are working well without oxygen assist! YAY!

Wow! I have been overwhelmed with other stuff today. Had a 4 hour morning at the hospital clinic testing and Dr visit. Frustrating to a point and new discissions to make. Anyway, was gone all day. Going to be on an off for a while. Will still try to hit when I can. Hugs! Lots of transplant work to think about.
