So why do people always say that you're a pessimist if you don't see the glass as being half full, what if there's only a drop in it?

Like, if you get the arm you write with cut off and all the fingers but your pinkey on your other arm, should you consider the glass half full and say WELL I STILL GOT A FINGER! (derrr)

or should you just admit that there's only a damn drop in that glass
