I saw an interview on CNN last night (was in a doctor's office - not my choice) about a company that has sympathy cards to give to people that have just had an abortion. The rationale the representative from the company gave was legitimate...she said that when she had an abortion, her friend - who was pro-life - left a bouquet of flowers and a get well card basically saying "I know it was a tough decision and I am here to talk whenever you need me." She said it was very non-judgemental and very needed.
Some of the verbiage on the cards though - made me raise an eyebrow...like... "God will never leave you or forsake you." (If I was in that position, I would be angry and asking "Why would you think that he would or fear that I would think that he would???")
The question - would you give somebody who has had an abortion a sympathy card geared specifically for abortions? |
