  "On my mind"

I find myself lost in thought

of things done, said, unsaid

drifting along on the currents of the mind

and always, She is there

Her smile, remembered

is all I need to brighten my mood

lighten my spirit

unburden my heart

She is the one

I feel it, deep in my soul

kept there for safekeeping

from the hurts of the world

My heart is yours, my angel

ever and always

 To all the moms out there

A mothers love, is incomparable

to any other thing in this world

her heart is pure for her children

and for them she will make any sacrifice

she deserves far more than any mere man can give her

My hope this day for all of you

that you feel the love and thanks

that are so richly yours

for doing that most thankless job

of raising your babies

May God bless you and keep you

as my prayers are lifted up for you

on this, Your day

   "A bit of prose for you"



My heart cries out into the wilderness
into the desolation that surrounds me
Seeking for that which
I, and every man desires most
The touch of loveliness in his dreary existence
The touch, that only, that one woman
can bring to him
Her brightness gives meaning and hope to him
lightening the burdens he must bear
A companion and friend to him
without equal in all the cosmos
His lady means all to him
and for her he will brave the fiercest dangers
Going to the ends of the earth, or the gates of hell
just to protect and succor her, to defend her honor
The joy of his heart bubbles over
when she smiles, gushes forth at her touch
Her loveliness is to him, a balm
for the sickness of the soul this world gives
Her radiance shines with a light to rival the sun
His only desire is for her happiness
her every need attended by him
The love of a lifetime
Would that every man could attain it
Could have that
One woman

"The Sea and You"  

The mist rolls in from the sea
covering the bay with a soft blanket
lit with a strange luminosity
by the moon, hanging in the night sky

All these things conspire in my mind
and bring forth the image of your face
a beautiful thing, far outshining
the lovely sights of the night

The sound of the waves, lapping on the pier
fish leaping out on the dark sea
and just the thought of you
wipes all these things from my consciousness

The moon, the waves, the visions and sounds
of the nighttime shore, swept away in an instant
Replaced by the thing I most want
by the simple fact, of your being

  "Those Eyes"


To look in those eyes
thrills me to my core
makes me sigh
and want for more

Gazing through that window
to the soul deep within
I pray to the heavens
that its counted no sin

You're deep in my heart
as I am in yours
so deeply ensconced
through all open doors

My mind is filled
with thy heavenly charms
as I pine and ache
for you in my arms

With every fiber
and every thought
truly, madly, deeply
I am caught

I Love You

   "An Angels Dilemma"


I'm an angel you know, but I'm one of grey
neither light nor dark, and I found one day
a problem I had, that would not go away

I fell for an angel, an angel of light
the shock that I felt gave me such a large fright
to find myself helpless, and in this strange plight

Much to my chagrin I looked back to see
I had only one wing, what has happened to me
and then the thought came, it was because of She

My angel of light, had smitten me with love
She blasted my heart, She sent me a dove

And that was the reason my wing went away
not to return til some far off day

I know you may think this a terrible thing
but I really dont mind, for She causes me to sing

With a look, or a smile, a wink or a kiss
She opens up vistas, all flowing with bliss

My angel
my heart
my wonder
my love

A gift sent by God
from high up above

And my wing, you may ask
how do I get along
with only one wing
and only a song

Well the truth of the matter
is simple you see
between us theres two
when Shes standing by me

   "Angel of Mine"


My heart was broken
by the trials of life
then along came an angel
that smote my strife

Then something occured

As I looked into her eyes
like deep liquid pools
I found myself falling
and became her fool

A fool in love
with that wondrous creature
my focus in life
my central feature

To stand next to in life
and face all that will come
with her I can do it
for she is the one

forever to hold
forever to love
my eternal soulmate
my snow white dove

"The Words"

I cant stop the words

that flow so easily from my mind

at just the thought of You

You thrill me to my soul

rock me to my foundations

make my heart sing with joy

You are my all, my everything

from this cold uncaring world

You emerged

the one spot of brightness in my universe

the sun and moon of my existence

You and You alone

I thank the Lord every second

for You

  "Ache"

My heart aches, for the one

I love

She is the one, the only one

for me

I feel so lost, without her

so alone, bereft

Oh how I long for her touch

her smile

the brightness she brings with her

the smell of her hair

All that she is

I ache

for Her

   "Be"

You can be with me

I will always let you win
I will treat you like a queen
like the present, under the tree
on christmas morn

Anticipated like a child
with innocent wonder
as I wait until
I can open
