I attempt to make soundscape/ambient/drone music in the vein of Steve Roach or Seconds Before Awakening. That being said...it's now time to record.

What DAW (if any) do you have experience with? I want something with a easy learning curve.

I know there's Reaper,Acid,Pro Tools,etc.

Or should I go a really simple route and use a digital recorder like a Tascam DP 004. There will be 2 synthesizers involved. One for the back round and one,obviously for the "lead" for the lack of a better term.
