When I was a teenager - I lived with my grandfather - and he afforded me a lot of liberties - I had no curfew - as long as he knew where I was and I never got into trouble. I was over all a good kid - I drank a little - but never drove drunk...I had good friends...an open mind - and never felt like I needed to hide anything from my grandpa...I intend to allow my children the same liberties...but - will it be at the risk of my personal relationship with them - meaning will they spend so much time away from the house that I will never see them?
