| Ok I am having a really bad day (or rather really bad continuation of yesterday)... Here's the story- About a month ago my transmission in my car blew. I didn't have the money straight out to fix it, so and friend of mine hooked me up with his uncle's friend who does them on the side. This guy was willing to do it for $800 and payments. After two weeks, I finally got the car back, but it still wasn't shifting right in the mornings. So last Friday night, I dropped it off to him so he could test drive it in the morning. It broke down during his test drive and he told me he had it towed back to his place and he would look at it Tuesday (cause he had court on Monday). I called him Tuesday evening, Wednesday afternoon, Thursday afternoon and yesterday morning, no answer. Finally he calls me back to tell me it never got towed since the person he asked to do it didn't... and it was now missing 4 tires and sporting two broken windows... Then later that night he went to go take a better look at it and it's not there. Here is my question... Since I just put $950 into it, should I give up on the car and go buy another or should I stick it out with this one until it can finally get fixed and back on the road? It is a 91 Grand Voyager but it has/had a brand new engine, now a new trans and the body is ok... I just don't know if it's worth it... |
